LOOK: Topless Serena Williams sings 'I Touch Myself' to promote Breast Cancer Awareness Month

In her Instagram caption, Williams stressed the importance of self-checking

As it turns out, Serena Williams can sing too. Williams, who has made two straight Grand Slam final appearances but is still seeking her 24th major win, did something a little different to kick off Breast Cancer Awareness Month. A topless Williams sang the Divinyls' "I Touch Myself" to remind women to self-check for lumps.

Simona Halep defeats Serena Williams in the Wimbledon final 6-2, 6-2, in less than an hour. Impressive performance.

Also on the mens' side:

Novak Djokovic outlasted Roger Federer in an epic five-set match Sunday, winning the first fifth-set tiebreaker in a Wimbledon's men's final to repeat as the men's champion for the second time and win his fifth title at the All England Club.

The fifth-set tiebreaker was also the first in any men's final at the four Grand Slams.

At four hours and 55 minutes, it was the longest final in Wimbledon history, featuring 68 games, 422 points (218 for Federer and 204 for Djokovic) and 35 aces.

The top-seeded Djokovic defeated Federer 7-6 (5), 1-6, 7-6 (4), 4-6, 13-12 (3) to remain unbeaten against the second-seeded Swiss in three Wimbledon final matchups. Djokovic also won in 2014 and '15, when he repeated as champion for the first time.

Brutal loss for Federer. He was serving for the match and up 40-15 late in the fifth set, after breaking Novak twice after Novak finally broke Fed for the first time all match, early in the fifth set.

Djokovic wins 4 straight points and goes on to win his third tiebreaker. Federer had 6 breaks and Djokovic only had two in the match, but one mini-break in a tiebreaker is worth the same as 3 breaks in a 6-1 set. Hard to believe Federer had 4 breaks after the 4th set, had never lost his serve, and still hadn't won the match at that point.

I agreed with McEnroe's comment before the match that if Fed won he would retain the career slam record, but if he lost he probably wouldn't. It's now 20-18-16, Fed-Rafa-Novak instead of 21-18-15. Djokovic is only 4 behind and will probably catch Federer in a couple of years. I don't think Federer gets another one.

Russian tennis player Yana Sizikova was arrested in Paris on Thursday evening for sports corruption and fraud in an organized group, two French law enforcement sources have told CNN.

She was arrested and taken into custody on Thursday for "sports corruption and fraud in an organized group, concerning acts that may have been committed in September 2020," according to the Paris prosecutor's office.
Sizikova was arrested shortly after losing her first-round doubles match at Roland Garros on Thursday, a Paris senior police source told CNN.

The 26-year-old is suspected of match-fixing in 2020 when she is alleged to have deliberately lost a doubles match in last year's Roland Garros tournament, according to the source.

The Russian tennis player arrested on suspicion of match-fixing at last year’s French Open was released from police custody on Friday, judicial officials told The Associated Press.

Yana Sizikova, who was arrested Thursday in Paris after competing in a French Open doubles match, was not formally charged after questioning but remains under investigation, the Paris prosecutor’s office said.

The 26-year-old Sizikova denies the allegations, according to her lawyer, Frederic Belot. He told the AP that Sizikova wants to file a complaint for defamation.

The prosecutor’s office said Sizikova was arrested for “sports bribery and organized fraud for acts likely to have been committed in September 2020.”

The case was opened last October by a French police unit specializing in betting fraud and match-fixing. It has previously worked with Belgian authorities investigating suspect matches at the lower levels of professional tennis.

The French tennis federation said it could not provide further information because the investigation is ongoing.

Just sayin': She must be innocent, as it doesn't appear like she has anything to hide.....:

Wimbledon 2021: Multiple matches being investigated for fixing, per report

Several very specific bets took place related to the matches

At least two Wimbledon matches are under investigation for allegedly being fixed, according to a report by German newspaper Die Weit. The investigation was launched after several very specific and suspicious bets took place surrounding matches during the tournament earlier in July.

According to the report, suspicions were raised over a first-round men's doubles match. There were large bets placed against a favored duo at "irregular times." The pair ended up winning the first set and that increased the odds that they would be defeated. However, the tandem ended up losing the next three sets.

The second match allegedly is focused on the opponents of a German player in a singles match. After the second set, there were extremely high bets that were placed on the exact score of the third bets and prop bets surrounding the number of service games. Those bets ended up coming to fruition.

The International Tennis Integrity Agency has not released any information surrounding these match fixing investigations. The ITIA has received 34 different reports of strange matches since January.
