Prioritize Your Hate List

I think this all depends on how good we are in a given year. If we are undefeated, I want Michigan to lose only against us. I do agree that I always want Notre Dame to lose. I want Miami to get good again just to want them to lose again, if that makes any sense.

Hmm. I'm not so good at pithy lists. I used to like USC to win a little, when we were always tied to the Pac-10 in the Rose Bowl, lately I've wanted them to lose badly.

A lot depends on the coach too. I always wanted the Switzer Oklahoma teams to lose. I want every SEC team to lose. I want every out of conference game with a Big Ten team to be a victory for our conference.

I also agree with any team above us in the rankings. Especially if we don't play them.

1. Nebraska wins
2. tOSU wins (if they're playing each other, we're obviously a house divided!)

Then losses:

3a. Notre Dame
3b. USC
3c. Auburn
3d. Alabama
3e. Auburn
3f. the rest of the SEC
3g. Miami
3h. Michigan (for the wife!)
3i. Boise State

If the "3" combined record for the week is a loss, and #1 & #2 happened, its a good week!

Some of it is 9-1, some of it is the emotion elicited by ND vs UM. While the hatred is similar, the respect for each is very different.

For many, PSU has entered (or was always in) ND territory.

I know tsun isn't a national power anymore, but for the love of all that is sacred...:tic:

Mr. Hayes is rolling over in his grave.

group weakness will bring group karma I fear.

all this "hope they are good again for the sake of the rivalry" bullshit.

Look at what arrogant bastards they are acting like after one recruiting win. I just don't get how you stop hating those fucking pricks. :frown2:

Fuck Michigan. My life would be infinitely better if they never won another game.

"Hope they are good again?"

What the fuck is that? Do people not remember the Coop years? Do people not remember Griese, Brady, Thomas?

The rivalry is born out of a deep, deep dislike/hatred of one another, not because the teams are "evenly matched." That criteria is for lesser rivals, such as Wussconsin. In 2 years, when Wisky is shit again, no one will give a fuck. But, the hatred of tsun will go on forever.

Maybe some people need to sit down, watch "The Rivalry" by HBO, and reevaluate.

I for one, will never never feel the slightest bit of compassion or indifference for that asshole of a program.

:oh:

I get what you're saying, and I'm not trying to tell you that you're wrong. But isn't it better for Michigan to be ranked highly when you beat them? Doesn't that necessarily mean that you want them back as a power? Beating a weak Michigan team the next 20 years in a row loses meaning, doesn't it?

No.

I want them broken, humiliated and suffering.

Always.

Being the team to knock scUM out of a bowl game does give a rather euphoric sensation. The man has a point

He has a point when you accept the fact he doesn't know what it means to actually hate his enemy.

If you ever find yourself wishing anything good on them, you don't really hate them.
