Preseason magazines 2010: Steele, Athlon, Lindy's, etc.

I picked up my copy of Steele at the Gateway Barnes and Noble today, apparently they are out early, strangely they feature the SEC cover rather than the Big Ten one... some sort of joke?

Also somewhat disappointing is that it appears like many of the articles in the magazine are simply recycled from last years addition (playoffs vs. bowls, for example).

His unit rankings are also perplexing, as he has our defensive backs as the 6th best unit in the country and our defensive line as the 17th best... strange.

Just some things I noticed on the bus ride home. I hope his quality isn't dropping off, he was off on his predictions for the conference finishes last year as well.

yeah, and Dexter Larimore isn't listed as a returning starter... it certainly seems like the quality of the magazine has slipped... maybe I am mistaken though

I've never thought as highly as a lot of you regarding Steele. The only thing he has going for him in my eyes is that he provides a fix for CFB junkies over the summer. Quality could be a lot better. Plus, he's said some dumb shit before on tv.

Athlon has us ranked #2, going undefeated until our title match against Alabama.

Pryor rated best QB in the Big Ten.

Not much going for us in pre-season all-american picks, however.

Even better, UC is ranked 43rd. That is going to be a hard fall for their new fan base.

Homan looks scared more than he does intimidating and your right B-Rolle does lok like he's pudgy in this picture. Cam came out ok in this pic, other than the fact that B-Rolle has his hand on his junk...
