In the rich rod sense of the word.
Rich Rod can only hope that someday he can approach Briles's brilliance.

Art Briles has made chicken salad from chicken litter year after year. Would he bring Michigan back to prominence? I doubt it, but bringing One True (Sort Of) Championship to the home of David Koresh takes some real doing.

Baylor is an oddball Baptist backwater that he somehow has brought really good football to after decades of irrelevance. Not something to make light of.

He's done amazing things at an irrelevant program. He has yet to field a defense, something his counterpart in Purple has done frequently.

Post-spring Top 25: Ohio State will begin 2015 where it left off in 2014

Dodd: Some things have changed since spring. Ohio State at No. 1 isn't one of them albeit unsettled at QB. But national title game runner-up Oregon is no longer No. 5.

OHST.png
1. Ohio State: The Buckeyes set what they claim was a record with a crowd of more than 99,000 attending the spring game. They were treated to a halftime skills competition of Braxton Miller racing and Cardale Jones throwing. Next, the most intriguing fall camp of all time. Math reminder: There is only one starting quarterback position. Pre-spring: No. 1

6. Michigan State: If the Buckeyes falter at all, the Spartans are ready to win the Big Ten. Their only losses in 2014 were to playoff teams (Oregon, Ohio State). Mark Dantonio may have the best draft-eligible quarterback of 2015. Pre-spring: No. 9

12. Wisconsin: Are the Badgers a system program? No matter who coaches, Wisconsin seems to win. The next 1,000-yard rusher is Corey Clement. He fell only 51 yards short last season while averaging 6.5 per carry. Pre-spring: No. 21

Auburn at 3 is a f'ing joke.

As much as it pains me to say it - I think Georgia Tech should be a top 15 team. They smoked a good Miss State team in the Orange Bowl and return most of their starters on offense, including their option QB.
They should absolutely start the year ranked higher than my beloved Dawgs.

Johnson seems to be hitting his stride. It's scary to see what the triple option can do with power-conference athletes and some wrinkles... I wouldn't want to play them. Good luck with that =P

It's still the same offense and the players have the same build and style of play.
The biggest change is he started to give a shit about defense. He went out and invested money in Ted Roof, who is an actual competent coordinator and position coach.

From 2011-2014, he played to win the game by a shootout, but since he wasn't recruiting well, that became harder and harder to do.
Now that his defense can generate 3-5 stops per game (depending on opponent), it's that much easier from him to score more than 35 points per game.

If you're referring to the link that ScriptOhio posted, Auburn is #7. Oregon is #3. What's funny is the statement "Jim Harbaugh has re-energized the Big Ten." Lulz.

So Oregon's QB isn't even on campus yet and they're #3?
Alabama's Defense lost their best defensive player, Saban got so desperate he brought in a woman beater to play DLine and now he's gone... but the D is looking intimidating again? How much do you want to bet they said the same thing last year. BTW #4 is still projected to be a starter -- that's not intimidating anyone anywhere  Thankfully for Saban, Stave will probably have the yips again so he'll be able to hide Jackson.
No Cooper to bail them out on Offense anymore either.
