Premier League (Official Thread)

If he agrees to personal terms, I really like this deal. Moutinho appeared to be the top target for this position, but Porto were asking too much. This seems like a much better value.

This is a great pick up for Tottenham. He's cheaper, already Premier league tested, and a damn good player himself. A good replacement for Modric, he has such class on the ball and great in keeping possession.

If/When Theo Walcott moves to City before the weekend, the Gunners might be better off to be known as City's farm club.

That'll be about $195 million in transfers from Arsenal to City over the past few seasons.

Worse gaffe this weekend: James Collins backpass aginast Swansea or Martin Skrtel's backpass against Man City?

Both resulted in goals.

I say Skrtel.

I only saw Collins' and it was bad so Skrtel must have fucked up, royally.

Dembele signing has been announced by the club.

I've seen chatter about van der Vaart being being on his way out. Don't know how true it is, but if the money is anywhere close to what's being talked about, I'd take it and run. I'm very much a Rafa fan and love the attitude he brings to the club, but at his age and with the fact that he can't play 90 minutes, he probably needs to be sold sooner rather than later.

There's a lot of irons in the fire for Spurs. The next couple days are going to be interesting.

You have to love the British tabloid media, because evidently, AVB is trying to sell upwards of 5-6 players...in about two days.

Oh, and Wayne Rooney is going to Manchester City with Theo Walcott.

There's probably something about Elvis and Jimi Hendrix they reported but I missed.

Not buying the Walcott to City rumor, I would like to have him on the team but only if the price is right. (Which it won't be)

He's not going. He reached a short-term agreement to stay with the Gunners (for the time being).

I still have Lukas Podolski as the person who will score the Gunners first goal this season .

Just read on BBC that he's set to stay after talks.

You think Dempsey is going to miss out on the transfer window and stay at Fulham?

Just think about when he (Dempsey) has to walk back into that Craven Cottage dressing room either this weekend or the next (or at training). He can't just sit around and not play until January.

But it's just business, so he'll be fine.

It would be hilarious if he goes to Sunderland, BTW (since they're no close to Champions League football).
