Odds on Stewart Downing scoring or getting an assist against the leagues best defense ? Probably extremely low, but I'm going to go on an enormous limb and say he gets on the sheet. Just a hunch, an extremely bad one no less, but I just feel like making a bold prediction.

Didn't miss much. Suarez has been trying to nutmeg everyone, Jonjo Shelvey still turns the ball over every time he touches it & Stoke have been sturdy at the back. They've been venturing forward more than expected & applying high pressure here and there, but nothing out of the ordinary.

I'm not sold on the Sturridge move. He's got a lot of skill, but acts like a spoiled child when he doesn't get to play up top. He's not going to supplant Suarez in that role & has done everything in his power to prove he's not a winger. I hope I'm wrong, but I don't see it working out that well.

3-1 Stoke. Jonathan Walters with a good display of body control. Chested down the header from Kenwyne Jones off a long throw-in & volleyed it in with what little power he could muster on the shot. Reina got a finger on it, but it was perfectly placed.

Yet are only eight points out of 4th place. Points seem to be at a premium this season for every team except United. Liverpool has to rely on way to much youth in it's lineup this season. They've had to rely on guys like Raheem Sterling (18), Suso (19), Andre Wisdom (19) & Jonjo Shelvey (20) of late and it's asking a lot of guys that age to perform exceptionally at the Premier League level. This team could be dangerous in two years or so if they keep developing these guys, but it's going to be a rough ride to get there.

Newcastle in another high scoring game. Arsenal just scored to go up 4-3 in the 73rd minute. There have been 14 goals scored in Newcastle's last two games & they have yet to lead ONCE.
