The refereeing was awful today. But it would not have made a difference. The Crew could consistently beat Liverpool right now.

I'm not worried, I'm petrified. Vidic is solid, Ferdinand is almost too old, Raphael is too small and Evra is nearly done as well. Smalling and Jones have to get back healthy and very soon.

Didn't realize, until I heard it on the radio this morning, that UEFA president Michel Platini made the threat that if the respective European leagues don't adopt his "Extra Official" system, UEFA will stop calling the league's officials for Champions League/Europa League games.

So far, Italy has been the only league to adopt that system.

This guy is and has always been a joke.

If the FA adopt that system, just to appease "Frenchy", I'll be shocked.

I loved his "no one in Paris cares about PSG, anyway" response when asked about PSG's spending the other day. At some point he's going to slip and tell everyone how much he loves that a French club is out-bidding English clubs and raiding Italian teams.

AVB finally gets his first Spurs win. Dempsey gets his Spurs debut as a late sub. The late goal by Reading probably gives AVB cover to insert Lloris as the too choice keeper, which would bring an end to Friedel's streak of consecutive starts.

Clint Dempsey wore the number with the Revolution (so nothing new), but I always find it strange seeing non-backline players wearing No. 2, unless they initially played on the backline and moved up (like Gareth Bale).

Took me until the second half today to recall what the Spurs away kits reminded me of. Blackburn with different colors.

...And Bale has changed his number this season to #11.

I'm not a fan of Spurs' third kit this season. I liked last season's better. It's still better than many other third kits out there though.
