Premier League (Official Thread)

Watching Everton-Newcastle on DVR and in the 83rd minute, and to this point Everton has been [censored]ed twice.

Yeah, but it was only twice.

Don't worry, David Moyes and Co. will be getting an apology from the FA shortly.

I still remember Roberto Martinez of Wigan getting PO'd because he kept apologies for mistakes (mostly offsides not given).

Didn't realize, until I heard it on the radio, that the lino that missed Monday's Anichebe goal for Everton was the same one that missed Clint Hill's goal for QPR last season.

He's (Ceri Richards) either the unluckiest line in the Premier League or it's a bad trend.

Any manager that has to get old ass Jamie Carragher to limp out there shouldn't be fired on general principle. Rogers inhereited a bad squad with serious flaws, especially for the system he wants to play. Perhaps Henry should've pocketed that Torres money for a minute instead of dropping it on Andy Carroll and Stewart fucking Downing.

Listen to BBC "606" and some crazy Liverpool supporters want Rodgers gone after five league games (United, City and Arsenal were three of them too).

The host called the callers nuts (which I agree).

I agree, too. I share their frustration (although perhaps to a lesser degree) but five games against a brutal schedule is hardly a measuring stick for a manager.

Looks like the streak is ending.

I see what you did there. :sneaky:

This is going to be a very nerve-wracking second half. I'm just glad Spurs didn't concede at the end of the first half. I was having starting to have flashbacks to the NLD last season.

Also the commentators' point about how this streak started bears repeating. Up 3:0 at the Lane at halftime, United scored five times to win.

I doubt it, because AVB actually has this squad playing football rather than run-and-gunning.

The key (or my hope) is AVB gets a fair shot to try to build something (which the Mad Russian didn't give him).
