Premier League (Official Thread)

Sunderland are a damn dumpster fire.

Place your bets soon on them to be relegated - the odds are tumbling every week.

That's a good thing for United since they play next week. ManU desperately needs a team that they can thrash to get that ship upright. So far the David Moyes era has not started off they way they wanted. There's opposing fans singing "There's only one David Moyes" and Chelsea, Arsenal and Liverpool fans have started a #MoyesIn campaign on twitter. I don't think the situation is as dire as a lot of people are making it out to be, given some time I think he will do just fine, the question is how long before the fans really do turn on him?

I got in on that already...DiCanio is the Pat Shurmer of the Premier League...overmatched and clueless of how to run a team. Since he spent his whole career basically defying authority and being a pain in the ass, that's not a real surprise.

I am a Soton fan, I liked watching them back in the Beattie era before their financial woes...they look pretty good so far.

Swans has played a brutal schedule so far...but after they play Soton next, they should go on a point binge.

Saints do look good. I thought they were wrong to fire Nigel Adkins, but that managerial change couldn't have worked out better for them. If they keep it up they could be playing for a spot in the Europa League one way or another.

I am hoping to see a Europa spot. I don't think anyone is going to enjoy playing at St. Mary's this season. If Osvaldo finds his form, this could be a top 6-8 team.

Wait...Hull and Cardiff have more points through 6 matches than Man U? That shouldn't last, of course, but the pressure on Moyes has to be enormous.

I am starting to think Moyes was holding Everton back, not over achieving.

As a person who hates MUFC I love thier fall from grace, however, I understand the fans frustration as the coaching styles from Fergie to Moyes is so different. Moyes is definately a small teams coach, he gets a lead and then instead of staying on the attack, he tries to go defensive and preserve it. A style that has never been something Man U has done, also, I can't understand his substitutions at all. It will be interesting to see what January holds.
