Premier League (Official Thread)

Sounds like the Samuel Eto'o move to Chelsea is imminent too. Two-year deal.

How are you going about it? I just tried to do it and it seemed to work for me.
I'm using my old computer as I've moved back to school, so that might be why. I would just select the entire link & type in the title of the article. It's only leaving the first letter as the link portion instead of the entire title. Never had any trouble doing it before, but it might be that I'm on an older PC, or using Chrome.

I do it in reverse. I type the title, then select it and turn it into a link. Maybe one way works with the new forum software and the other one doesn't? I don't know, I'm not sure I've ever done it the way you just described.

The way you described works, so I'll be doing that from now on. I'm kind of picky about how my links appear, because I like them to look neat & not a mess with the whole URL in there. Thanks for the heads up on how to do that. Just edited the last few posts to reflect that.

Spurs have confirmed both the Chiriches and Lamela signings this morning. Confirmation on Eriksen seems imminent. I'm not even sure if they're done with incomings yet. Even if you consider Bale already gone I doubt they're done with outgoings.

I've gotta say, I like Kyle Martino in the NBC studio. I don't subscribe to the idea that American voices are necessary in foreign football coverage, but he fits right in and is doing well. I think his perspective benefits from the fact that he was a fringe player. He knows the game because he played at the professional level, but he doesn't have the misplaced arrogance of other former American players turned analysts who think they're hot shit because they dominated a couple seasons of a lesser league like MLS or fluked their way out of the group stage in a World Cup. Martino offers insight without trying to speak from too strong a position of authority. He uses British football terminology, but doesn't make an ass of himself by appropriating their slang. It works quite well and he holds his own against the Brits in the studio.

I think it might be Rebecca Lowe tying everything together in the studio and less the people she's working with. The entire dynamic is very good.

It would never happen, but if I'm NBC, I'd put her on Olympic duty in the studio over some MSNBC (non-sport) people they usually use (on MSNBC/CNBC).

I'm really liking the lighting on NBC for BPL coverage (the color/brightness of the channel during games and studio).
