Interestingly enough, Coen is a Rhode Island guy. My older brother picked him off in high school a playoff game about 22 years ago. Never imagined he'd be coming up in conversations like this.

Birm was implying that if you're gonna hire an OC and give them "control" over the staff .... you do that 3 weeks ago to have a much better pool to pull from .... it sounds like the OC is someone in the NFL now.....and possibly in the playoffs....

if Day hired an OC and gave him complete control over the offensive staff that would be 4 + the oC.... dont think Hartline was going anywhere so ... you're looking at 4 total on offense... not sure where the 5 came from ..
