Possible transfers FACT and EVIDENTS

I think we can expect more transfers until Urban has been here for four recruiting classes. Some of prior coach's recruits cannot 'cut it' with the new O and D that Urban is expecting to play at tOSU. Some of the kids will be buried on the depth chart and want to (and can) play at other schools, which is really what the college experience is all about.

Scholarships are one year agreements between a school and a student. If one or the other decide not to continue, then the schollie is 'freed up' and it goes to whomever the coach next picks. Hard reality for many. My daughter is being recruited for water polo, and the coach stressed that each year he'll meet with the player, and they'll discuss her future. It made it sound that nothing was certain, and it could all be over in a heartbeat. Not enough progress, not trying hard enough, heart not in it (unspoken was the 'if someone better comes along') mind change.

We will see that until Urban gets 'his' people in place. Always seems to happen with coaching changes, everywhere. All of the kids on the list three pages ago seem to be good kids, and were highly touted coming into OSU. For whatever reason, there is no longer a 'match'. Really, this should be no surprise to the players if the coaching staff is managing the team properly. There should be goals, hints, outright assertions that 'this gotta happen, or....' so the kids know.......

If scholarships are one year agreements, then why can schools limit transfer choices? Why do SAs need to sit out a year the before playing for another Div 1 Football Bowl Subdivision program? These contracts are extremely one-sided in favor of the schools.

LSU and UGA were better than Stanford?

I do not think UGA was that impressive this year

they beat Florida (who declined down the stretch IMO) and beating Nebraska doesnt really mean much (look what Ohio State and Wisconsin did to them)

other then that their best win was against VANDERBILT or OLE MISS

and they got walloped by South Carolina

Most schools have moved away from one year deals.

Why yes. Now let's discuss whether recruit star ratings correlate to performance at the college level... Or another question I've been meaning to explore: Has a team that scored only field goals ever beat a team that scored at least one touchdown?
