Is the former Steelers great telling the truth?
Antonio Brown hasn't played for the Pittsburgh Steelers in seven years. The former star wide receiver still peddles in Steelers rumors, however, and now he's claiming to have some inside information regarding the team's next quarterback, suggesting Tuesday that Aaron Rodgers has already agreed to a two-year contract with Pittsburgh."Deal is finalized," Brown posted on X, before touting his social media channel as "the most trusted source in all of sports."
This isn't the first time Brown has shared allegedly inside information regarding NFL news. A year ago, the outspoken former pass catcher shared screenshots of an apparent conversation with ESPN insider Adam Schefter, in which Brown requested ESPN credit him for breaking news of Russell Wilson joining the Steelers. Wilson, of course, did end up landing a one-year deal with Pittsburgh last offseason.

Winners: Steelers and Mason Rudolph
It'll be one of the most ironic situations in recent NFL history if Rudolph is now called to lead the Steelers offense after Pittsburgh initially drafted him to possibly be Ben Roethlisberger's successor back in 2018. The Steelers reportedly came to terms with Rudolph (who spent the 2024 season with the Titans) on a two-year, $8 million deal on Thursday.The signing of Rudolph accomplishes two things for the Steelers. It gives them a backup plan if the Rodgers' deal falls through. The Steelers could then start Rudolph in 2025 while drafting a quarterback next month. If Rodgers does come to Pittsburgh, Rudolph can reprise his previous role as a reliable backup who has an 8-4-1 record as the Steelers' starting quarterback.

The mother of former Oregon defensive tackle Derrick Harmon died shortly after he was selected by the Pittsburgh Steelers in the first round of the 2025 NFL Draft.Harmon was taken by the Steelers with the 21st pick. In a news conference after his selection, he told reporters that his mother was on life support and that he was heading to the hospital to tell her he was drafted.
Harmon said his mother Tiffany Saine had "about eight brain surgeries" while he was growing up, and she had a stroke when he was a freshman at Michigan State. Saine died not long after Harmon went to the hospital to tell her he was drafted, Saine's sister confirmed to the Oregonian.
Harmon told reporters Thursday night that his draft moment was "bittersweet" because he couldn't spend the evening with his mother.
Harmon transferred to Oregon for the 2024 season after three years at Michigan State. He was named second-team All-Big Ten and helped the Ducks to a conference championship and No. 1 overall seed in the College Football Playoff. He said before the Rose Bowl that he had used his NIL money at Oregon to buy his mother a car.
The Steelers liked Harmon enough as a prospect to pass on a quarterback at No. 21 overall. Harmon's new teammate, Cam Heyward, had somber praise on X Thursday night in light of Tiffany's struggle.
