I don't think the Senators were ready from such a physical response from the Penguins after the Leopold hit. The rest of this series is going to be extremely rough on the Senators, regardless of the outcome.
Philchenkov isn't causing Crosby as many problems as the media had anticipated. Evgeni Malkin wasn't a huge factor, but it wasn't as if he totally disappeared on Friday. Jordan Staal played a solid game. I expect Lines 2 and 3 to carry the load for the Penguins tonight.
As for the Sutton hit, the elbow was up. Video proves it. Sutton was aiming for the head. Video proves it. Leopold had his head down. Video proves it. Considering the fact that I strongly defend Matt Cooke's hit against Marc Savard, it would be folly of me to condemn Sutton for this hit.
...doesn't change the fact that someone needs to take a run at him in Game 3 though.
