For sure. I think Fleury's been the better goalie tonight in all honesty. He's had some ridiculous saves, luck is on both goalies' sides tonight. Haha

Is it just me or does Sykora look really slow out there?

Yeah I won't lie.. Sykora is absolutely dragging Malkin's production down. He looks slow, he's not physical, and he's not getting any shots what so ever. I'd almost want to see someone else in there but it's either him or Satan. In the off season they better not over pay for Sykora because he's really been hurting that 2nd line's production.

I know the production wouldn't add up but I'd like to see Dupuis on the 2nd line, scratch Sykora, and then put Goddard back onto the fourth. If Sykora isn't going to score we can atleast get someone with some hustle and grit like Dupuis up there to make somethings happen.

Flower was just simply amazing tonight and has been thus far through two games. Great sign for the pens obviously! He probably should've stopped the one shot from Powe but he made up for that with a plethora of great saves.

Great thing is I believe the Pens got out hustled tonight but still managed to win. We played right into the Flyer's hands with letting them slow the game, and to me it was obvious the Flyer's had us running around a bit. However, we come away with the "W"? Great teams find ways to win, and the Pens did that tonight.

Pens' defense is not playing well at all today. I think Gonchar has been out there for every goal. They just allowed a shorthanded goal.

Oh well. Can't win 'em all, especially against a great team like the Flyers. Let's try again Tuesday night.

Couple things here... Didn't get to watch the game but saw the highlights on pittsburghpenguins.com

Fleury made a TON of point blank saves, but also let a couple in. From what it looks like We weren't ready to put in the dirty work and get to the net like the flyers were. For the last 2 games the Pens have been outplayed so thankfully we're up 2-1 in the series.

The defense really struggled, and still no production from Sykora.

Part of the problems were on the defensive side, but in all honesty the Pens problems today on offense were the same last year.

When Crosby (and lesser for Malkin) try to do too much the Pens offense completely struggles unless a player (in today's case Malkin) steps up. Crosby was trying to stick handle 5 on 1 all game long. Malkin's shot is lethal.

They need to be paired up more IMO. Crosby isn't nearly the scorer Malkin is and he has no help on his line. He's likely the 2nd best puck handler in the league behind Datsyuk.

The puck is in the net, not sure if it's a goal. If it is, it's a goal for Crosby. Looks like a goal to me.

EDIT: It's a goal. Crosby from Kunitz and Cook. 1-0. :banger:

And Sykora misses a pass that would've given him a breakaway.

I think he has 46 points in 26 regular season games against Philly.

Checking for his postseason stats, but I'd be willing to bet money that he's averaging over a point per game against them in the playoffs as well.

_____ sucks is just such a childish chant. I expect nothing more from Philly fans, though.
