Man, that was a good game! The refs really tried to steal that one from Pitt - it was good that they were able to pull it out. Those holding calls were a complete joke. They may have been the worst calls of the year in college football if it weren't for (once again, Big East officials) allowing that UConn TD on the phantom fair catch earlier in the year.

Holt excepted - I'm glad we won't have to put up with the influx of hillbilly WVU fans her over the next month.

Wanny shouldn't even consider throwing the ball....just feed it to your rb's all game...WVU cannot stop the run. I'm being semi-serious here, they should really just go power formations the entire game, control the clock as much as they can, and pound it out

UCONN gave up on the run way too early even though the averaged close to 8 ypc through 2.5 quarters.

Who else thinks those refs were a bunch of no good, cheating, bastards???

Those were some of the worst calls I have EVER seen! The whole season has been that way.....terrible, they should be ashamed of themselves.

No bullshit, I think they were trying to throw the game. At the very least they should be fired.

I'm always thrilled when an obvious referee conspiracy goes awry, their efforts being thwarted by the resilient righteous man (in this case being Pittsburgh). Those kids played their heart out, don't get the consolation of getting paid even if they lose because it's college, and the refs tried to STEAL any satisfaction away. West Virginia had no business being in that game nor in the national championship picture period. The Big East is a farce of a BCS conference. Half a former mid major conference + the bottom to middle of the worst major conference = legitimate major conference? They are more realistically Hawaii or Boise State +. One who only even progressed that far from bending the rules further than anyone to accomodate armed robbers and athlete-students like Pat Lazear and Noel Devine. Karma police to the rescue.

I don't know about cheating, but there I thought there were definitely a few questionable calls. Well, okay... awful. Luckily Pitt stepped up and did what they had to do, and didn't let the game rest on the refereeing. Always best if a team makes the most of the factors they control to outweigh the ones they can't.
