The Associated Press: After Shaq trade, Suns could go big again in draft
starBUCKS;1488585; said:I haven't been a big Mullens fan, and you know i love the Suns... but, let's not forget that just about 7-8 months ago he was predicted as a top 3 pick. The kid is an athlete, the Suns system could be a good fit for him to blossom in.
fourteenandoh;1488587; said:he's gotta put on about 40 pounds and grow a pair before i jump on the bandwagon. he got abused by 6'8" corn fed white boys in the B10. how is he going to prosper in the NBA?
starBUCKS;1488592; said:I think for what's out there at pick 14, it's a good investment. We have zero size again now Shaq is gone... Robin Lopez never showed physical play, and was called out all year for that. Personally I like James Johnson and Dejuan Blair... they may be off the board, and Blair isn't the best fit for our system. Earl Clark is ok, but I feel he would be an average role player, and isn't an in the paint guy... and no shot I want skinny ass Austin Daye. So, needing a big man that can run the court, with a franchise that is boderline rebuilding mode... Mullens is a decent gamble.

I'd imagine the Suns would send something else that way. I didn't like the deal when it wasn't showing Curry included.... but with him, I kinda like it. He's a starter from day one with Nash in the backcourt. Pack your bags J-Rich.

Steve Kerr has ruined that team, under extreme pressure to relieve the team of financial obligations. So I'll give him a slight pass, but the line-up of Nash, Stat, Bell, Marion, and Diaw was money. Especially for that style of play.
I will just never understand the philosophy change, forcing D'Antoni out, and trading for Shaq. It was odd, poorly thought out, and now leaves a once consistent winner in shambles.
There is so much appeal to having a fast break team in Phoenix, with a coach set on taking a high percentage shot in les sthan 7 seconds. It just made sense....it's unfortunate a good NBA city will now be left with a team stuck in the lottery for 2-3 years.
