Phoenix Suns (Official Thread)

Stat doesn't want out. He has said over and over that he wants to stay in Phoenix, but if they are going to trade him, he wants some say in it.

Same thing with Shaq. He wants to stay, but who knows?

Now that a coaching change is being made, I don't know if they will trade Stat. Stat just needs someone to motivate him and hopefully this new coach can do that. When Stat is pumped, he plays awesome and even plays some defense.

Steve Kerr has basically ruined this franchise. I should also mention Robert Sarver helped ruin it. Both are UofEh Wildcats!!! Makes me hate that school even more.

As for Shaq, I still think he's trying to make a move to get himself back to LA so he can retire a Laker. Doubt it will happen unless he plays out his contract in Phoenix and comes in for league minimum or on a 10 day contract or something, but that's my opinion, I have been wrong a few times in the past.

The Suns have a lot of talent if they would just play together!!!!! Their team chemistry on the floor is horrible. I blame that on Terry Porter. The new coach (Alvin Gentry) has been on the Suns staff since 2004 when they would run and gun. I think he is going to loosen the strings a little and let them run - atleast that's what I'm hoping. If Shaq can keep up, then great.

This team isn't going to start playing defense any time soon, so we might as well forget about that idea until Nash retires. Try and outscore their opponents and entertain the fans again. This team plays well when they are having fun and their coach is 100% behind them.

Did anybody catch the game between the Suns and Clippers last night? If you didn't get to watch it, did you see the box score?? Holy cow dung!!

Yes, I know it was the Clippers, but the Suns beat the ever-living dookie out of them. Final score was 140-100. Phoenix had 81 points at halftime. I'm hoping the new coach just keeps them loose and having fun. That was a great game to watch if you're a Suns fan and it reminded me of the D'Antoni era.

It gave me a little hope, even though I understand it was only 1 game. They play the Clippers again tonight at LA.

Zach Randolph is a clown. I'm a big Lou fan, and he handled that altercation well. Randolph threw such a weak punch, and now he's going to pay for it regardless.

I never understood the talk of trading Amare. With all the age elsewhere, you'd think they would start with him as the future.

I thought Sarver is the one pulling all the strings?

They were trying to clean up their mess...and thought they could start a full rebuild. But, it was an awful decison. As I stated in the Cavs thread... the situation is fixable with Amare.

They need to build the team around him...and one that will compete, just like the Cavs have done for LeBron. Shaq won't be a part of that, so they will slowly have to filter back his playing time next year.

Right now the PG of the future is most important. Dragic is still a bit of an unknown at this point.

Yeah Zach Randolph made a very foolish move and he will pay for it in fines and a suspension. Lou Amundson is great. I hope Phoenix keeps him because they usually only keep role players like him for a year or two.

Robert Sarver is a mortgage/banker and I don't think knows the first thing about basketball and evaluating talent. I think Steve Kerr is the one pulling the strings and deserves all the credit or criticism for the moves Phoenix has made or talked about making.

I'm looking forward to watching tonights game.

I hope Dragic pans out. He is so young and raw. Hopefully Nash is teaching him everything he knows. Gentry says he plans on playing the bench more and getting Dragic in the rotation more often, so hopefully it pays off.

I agree we need to keep Amare. He wants to stay and Kerr better not screw it up.

I was happy to see Tucker and Dudley in the game early...instead of mop up minutes.
