Phoenix Suns (Official Thread)

Throw in the towel on this one. What an ugly game by the Suns. They need to figure out what type of team they are going to be.

I liked seeing Shaq shove McGrady to the ground after he pushed Nash. I was surprised they didn't kick Shaq and McGrady out too.

I was surprised too...I figured they'd both be ejected and maybe looking at a few game suspension...the fact that neither were ejected means the NBA is pretty content with its recent rise in the public eye. Had his happened within a year of Artests fight against the Palace, anyone within 5 feet of that scuffle would have gotten 3-5 games.

I feel for Phoenix fans though...they are a playoff team, but their window has closed IMO. Steve Kerr took one of the best teams in the NBA, and changed its philosophy and stepped on the coaches toes at the same time. It's as if Steve forgot Phoenix WAS the best team in the NBA but got [censored]ed by the league. If Phoenix doesn't get jobbed by the NBA, they are playing Cleveland in the finals and have a title. I will never be convinced otherwise...Phoenix was the best team in the NBA in 2006. To then change the philosophy of the team by trading Shaq for Marion was idiotic, and I think closed the window on any chance for Phoenix to win the title anytime soon. Stevie Nash is just a little over his prime, Shaq is over his prime, Amare is an absolute stud but excels in an open court game, and then you have nice role players around that. But not good enough in the west....

Yeah I agree about the suspensions.

I don't even like thinking about 2004-2007 for the Suns. They had so many opportunities and every year us Suns fans have a bitter taste in our mouths.

There is no way we will beat the Hornets or Lakers in a 7 game series. Thankfully the Spurs are starting to suck, which makes me feel a little better. Now I will have to listen to all the Laker homers for the next 5 years.

I also think Steve Kerr ruined a good thing even though I'm wearing my Shaq jersey right now.

In a sign of the apocalypse, it is amazing that a skirmish takes place involving a Ron Artest team, and Ron Artest doesn't jump in.

Barnes, Nash, and Shaq come off as the biggest 3 idiots in my opinion (Shaq for pushing Yao down, who was the only one trying to play peace maker). Here's the video, you make the call.

Did you not see McGrady shove Nash to the ground? He's not an idiot?

Nash comes running from out of nowhere at 3 players on the Rockets, one of whom is McGrady, and McGrady pushes him down like the mangy Canadian that he is. Not as big of an idiot.

Nash runs over there to split the guys up and gets thrown to the floor? Would you expect the Suns players to just stand there while Barnes has Yao, McGrady and Alston in his face?

Nash has been known to start more fights than Artest. Didn't you know that? I thought Shaq was going to King Hippo punch one of the Rockets - not just shove them all to the ground.

That mangy Canadian could score more ass in one night than you ever could.

you're the one bitching about a non-issue to stir the pot and you give me the tibor? why don't you find something else worth bitching about somewhere else. you're not going to find anyone agreeing with you in this thread so I don't really see the point.

Put up another "W" for the Suns. Beat the Kings without Matt Barnes, Steve Nash and Leandro Barbosa. Kings were short handed as well. Went into overtime, but the Suns gave the rock to Amare and Grant Hill in the extra time and they came through.

Pistons toMORROW in Phoenix. Matt Barnes and Barbosa will be out. Nash will be back in action. Should be a good game.
