PG Mike Conley (1st Team All BIG, NBA All-Star, Oscar Winner, Minnesota Timberwolves)

If the rumors are true and both Oden and Conley leave, I wouldn't be surprised to see Cook leave with them.

Well, the only thing for sure is nobody will be seeing UF at the Final 4 next year.

So you've got that going for you, which is nice.:)

I see Conley gone. He is really a baller. More upside than the big.

I share a class with Mike and he has been there the past 2 days.

He simply could be keeping his options open. He seems smart enough to realize that even if he's 99% set on leaving early that it's in his best interest to keep the schoolwork up to snuff to cover that remaining 1%. Of course, his not being in class could be a serious indicator of his leaving, but his being in class really doesn't mean the chances of his leaving are any less...

I've been saying he was gone for over a month now. I base that on what I would do in his position. If I have as much affinity for tOSU as I do, and I would still leave, then the decision is clear.

It's just a shame the Cavs can't get him.

I agree with everything you said, with the clarification that this is conditioned on Oden leaving.

And I also agree with the part about the Cavs.

I think Conley Sr. will be remembered as a villain around town, for years to come. I personally think that he's one of the main driving forces urging Mike and Greg to enter the NBa. I said on here a few days ago that I wouldn't be surprised if Conley Jr. left, despite him adamantly saying he'd stay after the title game. It's just that recent history has shown that when kids make passes and are vocal about staying that they usually will end up leaving.

Remember when Oden said don't be surprised if he stayed all four years? That was months ago, but it's humerous now when we look back.

That's silly. At worst, he gave a misleading impression about his son's likelihood of leaving after his freshman season. That's hardly villainous conduct. There's absolutely no reason to imagine he's making his son (much less Oden) leave school against his will.

Dude, I'm talking about as fans go. It's all rosey and everything to want what's best for these kids. It's all good to think that they should get theirs, but take off that parental hat for a second and think like the fan that I know you are. I know that a lot of people have been on pins and needles wanting to see these kids come back. Yes, as the fan I think you can see he's somewhat of a deterring force.

Don't project your obsession with these guys onto me. I am intelligent enough to know that if they stay or go, I will still have a team to root for next year.

Well considering how Mike has said plenty of times that he wants to return to school, most notebly after the title game, and considering how his father is turning agent and is shown on several articles saying things like "he has to reconsider his options, I don't think it's that much of a stretch to say that he may be influencing Mike's opinion to another direction.

He is actually doing the smartest thing he can do at this time and that is to get these kids as much pub as possible and buy them time to make the best decision. As Tibs posted elsewhere, you can't believe anything an agent says. Their job is not to tell the truth but to create publicity. Mike Sr. is getting his moment in the spotlight and may get a chance to rep some others as a result. Good for him. And also if it is in Mike Jr.'s best interest to leave, then he should be telling him to consider it.
