PF Jared Sullinger (2x 1st Team ALL B1G & All American, Anyang KGC, S.Korea)

It'll be interesting to see what Wisconsin's plan to guard him down low and how often he'll follow Leuer out to the 3 point areas on defense. I'd almost think there will be a switch to keep Sully in the main rebounding areas....

I think your question about whether Sully will guard Leuer up top is an excellent one, Mike. This game will be fascinating for all fans of basketball defense - and Matta is a demonstrated master of defensive strategy.

During the BTN pregame today, Dave Revsine talked about something that Satch Sullinger had mentioned.

When Jared was 6 years old, he'd watch basketball on TV, and point out to his Dad when there was no weak-side defensive help coming.

Early development of that basketball IQ.

It is honestly disgusting how much they're letting teams abuse him inside. Its gotten to the point of more than just simple basketball toughness. I've seen him thrown down repeatedly on the baseline in front of refs with no calls for several games now. They're letting it go too far and reigning it in far too late in games, if they reign it in at all.

I had to miss this today but caught some on the radio and the last few minutes. The 3 point shot with seconds left was unbelievable. What a clutch shot, too bad we didn't get a few of those rim shots to go. We would all be smiling now. The silver lining is this loss will take the pressure off the kids and maybe they can get back to playing a bit more relaxed.

Did I say I hate the badgers... really hate them.

Well, it's not like Sullinger needed a reason to deliver payback in the last game of the season at the Schott. Perhaps Ohio State fans will show Wisconsin what a classy but tough playing environment really looks like.
