I think we would all agree that getting the dog from a shelter would be a classy move for the university. That way you are giving a dog that would be in a shelter or maybe put down a good life. They are also the largest euthanizer of dogs in the United States. Any dog "rescued" or adopted by PETA or a PETA surrogate is likely to be put to death.
