I don't get the appeal of girls kissing girls. To me it's downright disgusting, but I guess whatever floats your boat.

I know you apparently all think it's lame, but I'm conservative leaning so I'm naturally against homosexual acts of any type, male or female. I'll stop there because it'll become a political debate if I take it any further, and this isn't the politics board.

Ok, now that we have the relevant posts re-quoted here to bring in all the back data, I am going to try to address this in a rational manner. As you can see I have moved this to the area of the forum that we have both agreed upon is the correct arena for this "debate."
My problem here, and why I posted originally, is not that you have opinions or that you have no problem expressing them. We all have opinions, and believe, NONE of us have problems expressing them.
However, what you did was not just an expression of an opinion.
You saw a thread labeled clearly as being about girls kissing other girls, and knowing that you are personally disgusted by those actions (and by implication, disgusted by those people who either engage in those acts or enjoy them vicariously), you CHOSE to enter this thread. You CHOSE to view personally objectional content. You then CHOSE to malign and insult others viewing that thread who DO NOT find the content objectional by expressing your personal statement of disgust.
That was your first mistake. As Taos said, if you don't like the channel and what is playing on it, don't watch it.
In this context, you did not express an opinion. You passed judgement upon not only the girls who are depicted kissing other girls but also passed judgement upon those of us who do not find such material disgusting. You went OUT OF YOUR WAY to tell us that it was disgusting to you.
That turns your opinion into a judgement because you took the time to go somewhere you don't like to tell people in there that what they were doing was disgusting.
Let me repeat my salient point here, and that is that in passing judgement upon the action you therefore pass judgement upon those who do not share your opinon, by implication.
This was your second mistake.
You are not the only conservative, I am sure, that doesn't approve of homosexual behaviour, but you are the only one that made a point of entering into a thread about said subject matter and telling those of us viewing and contributing to the thread of your opinion. Take a look back at the thread you dislike so much and I am sure you will notice that anyone else who feels as you do....DOES NOT POST IN THE THREAD.
That thread is not about the relative moral, religious, ethical or social values, or lack thereof, of homosexual behaviour. That is not what that thread is about. You, briefly, made it so. In a thread that does not invite, that is clearly not about, that has nothing to do with, a discussion or debate of homosexual behaviour does not need, want or deserve those kinds of statements.
You know this, as evidenced by your near-immediate mention of the political forums, yet you entered the thread and did so anyway. Again, it was not your expression of your opinion to which I objected to, it was the place in which you did it.
That was your third mistake.
I hope that this clears up the issue I had with you about it and perhaps explains why you are now rubied up which shows me that others tend to have felt the same way, although I cannot and do not speak for anyone else.
