How dare you? English grammar isn’t odd, it’s alternately consistent.or siesta

English is so poorly spoken that people who speak proper English are looked at like freaks. I always get the fish eye when I correct someone who says "can" when they should say "may", people who end a sentence with a preposition (example, it's not "who does this belong to?" it's "to whom does this belong?". You should see the blank stares that one gets me. The other one is saying "I'm doing good" instead of the proper well or fine, which are adverbs. No one really gives a fuck about proper English and I myself butcher it into oblivion. What gets me is that no one really cares and anyone who does is weirdHow dare you? For me it's white kids who say things like "finna" and "for real?".Every time I read or hear when someone chomps at the bit, I die a little inside. It decimates me.

Back 10-15 years ago when I was a round more young people than I am now I remember "i'm dead" meaning "that's funny" and swag. Not 100% what swag meant.“Bruh?”
