Game Thread Penn State vs tOSU, Sat Nov 13, 3:30 ET ABC/ESPN

The guy in back of me (who isn't even a Buckeye fan, but a TarHeel fan here on business) said, "It's be time for the Nits to go home to Happy Valley. Oh, wait, Happy Valley isn't happy. So it's time for them to go home to Sad Valley. Sad, Sad Valley."

Can Gameday do a segment next week where Herbie and McGroin sit down with each other and they talk about how Herbie was right about him in the first place?
Wait.....you mean he's a QB who can hit his first read assuming his first read is being given a 5 yard cushion, but once the first read is taken away he goes 0-12 passing to close out the game including 2 pick 6s?

Being in the 'Shoe tonight was a beautiful thing... once the second half rolled around. I had a Penn State fan directly behind me and I gotta say that he was a pleasure to have with us. Young guy, rooted non-stop for Joe Pa and company but was extremely respectful to us. The Ohio State 'fans' (using the term very lightly) directly in front of us were a different story. They arrived in their seats at the end of the first quarter, were more interested in being rude and taking up as much room as possible than watching the game and left at halftime, never to return to their seats. Thank God and good riddance. No idea why they bothered to even show up.

As for the game... well, I loved watching us rally to the tune of 35 unanswered points. The crowd was electric and the sideline was jumping from the time the sun went down to the end of the game, invoking fans to stay on their feet. Great atmosphere. The tip to Sanzo for the TD brought out the "You have got to be kidding me." in said Penn State fan. Had to love getting a bit of luck going our way after the first half let down.

There was a fight that broke out within the first few minutes of the game, leading to fans being tossed out of the stadium. What a waste.

All in all, awesome day. College Gameday was fun. Drinking at 10am made it better. Just glad to grab the W after a very long day. I'm exhausted. O-H!

The bad. The booing at the end of the first half. I hate that. Not a fan ever. I also seemed to be surrounded by Bucknutters. The worst was the faculty member and her friend behind me that bitched the entire first half. Her friend wanted someone to "take Tressel outside and shoot him". Once Ohio State took the lead in the second half they left. Sorry for the rant but I can't stand fair weather fans.

The way I took the booing (because it was what I was thinking) was that we were playing to run the clock down, not drive down the field. At that point, we had not had a single turnover nor did I remember coming close to a turnover. So why not try a drive the ball down? We had the time and we had the timeouts. I'm not taking about a 4+ yard play, but a few 7-12 yard passes would have been nice.

I know our offense wasn't producing, but mix those in with a few runs and we could have had a chance. But we lazily got to the line and it was obvious we weren't trying to go for it. That's why I thought people were booing.
