the fuck you say? That's too much. Penn State is playing better lately. We may very well win by that much or more, but I would say there is a greater chance of it being a close game.

Then I remembered my favorite post from last years thread....

while I was just joking, one thing I know for sure is that Evan Royster will not do a damn thing against us. that guy makes his living against awful teams and disappears in anything resembling a meaningful game.i actually agree with this, our recent history in post bye week games isn't great, PSU really is playing better (especially at QB with mcgloin), and the defense could be vulnerable to royster (COULD be. COULD)
i'm not saying -17 is way off, but i think -14 or -15 would make more sense

And Minnesota and Purdue are for us? Penn State's last two oppoents are much stronger than our last two. Penn State comes in at 6-3. The only team Ohio State has beaten so far that currently has more than 5 wins is Ohio at 7-3. So I think using their recent schedule to say that they aren't really getting any better would also mean that you could say the same thing about Ohio State. I feel both teams are better than they were a month ago. I think we are getting Penn State at a bad time, but I think they are also getting us at a bad time. This to me means this is going to be one hell of a football game.+1
Wins against Minnesota, scUM & Northwestern is nothing to get excited over. Another BIG, hopefully healthy, win for the Buckeyes.
Ohio State- 35
State Penn- 6

But what worries me more is their defense. Quite a performance in the second half against Northwestern.
this will be our third toughest game so far this season (behind Wisky and Miami).

Sophomore Matt McGloin will start for Penn State at quarterback in Saturday's game at Ohio State (No. 9 BCS, No. 8 AP).
McGloin will make his second career start, although coach Joe Paterno said freshman Rob Bolden might play, too. The former walk-on relieved Bolden last week against Northwestern and led Penn State on five consecutive scoring drives as the Nittany Lions rallied for a 35-21 victory.
Paterno had planned to play both quarterbacks against Northwestern.
