Penn State Cult (Joe Knew)

There’s criteria???? Do tell. I mean Blackledge was touting it on the broadcast.
Oh there's criteria. It was mostly made up after the fact once they started losing games. Sometimes it's "it was only a student section white out"....sometimes it's "it wasn't a night game white out". The school started officially announcing which game it was after a few years to help with the con.

USC was an official white out, by the way. I was just making fun of their claim every time they lose one that it wasn't a REAL one.

If there is no rail, it's a white out fail ...

Can confirm, just from watching their stupid message boards.

According to the Wiki page, 2007 vs. Ohio State was not a white out. They used Notre Dame as their white out. But here's a screenshot of the crowd from what I found on Youtube:

That sure seems like a white out.

They say 2009 vs. Ohio State wasn't a white out.

No?

There's probably more examples but I don't think it matters.

So I just got back from NYC visiting my daughter and son-in-law for his surprise birthday. His Uncle played at PSU 79-83. I was trying to be nice and mentioned it's like PSU got cursed somehow last year. What an incredible shit turn for the program. It's almost like Karma or something ....

19-2 OSU but to be fair, I'm not sure how many are real White Out's and which ones are not.
Not counting 2005 (assuming the "new rule" started with the ending of that game), Ohio State has lost to Penn State 3 times: 2008, 2011, and 2016.
I guess that would mean that Ohio State won in 2006, 2007, 2009, 2010, 2012, 2013, 2014, 2015, 2017, 2018, 2019, 2020, 2021, 2022, 2023, 2024, and 2025. 17-3, if my counting is good.

Better than mine. I forgot about 2011
