Penn State Cult (Joe Knew)

View attachment 44626
What the hell??? They told their crowd to wear white in order to "white out" Vanderbilt. Well, it was obviously Penn State who started that tradition, right?

According to Wikipedia, Penn State started it in 2004.
I was at that game.
rained a LOT, so wasn't a very successful "white out" due to all the different color raincoats people were wearing.

according to rule, the home team has to get permission from the visitor "in writing" before the season starts in order to wear white.
the SEC now has a rule that no SEC team will deny another SEC team's request to wear white at home.

under DiNardo, we wore white every home game unless we were denied.
Since '00 we generally follow this guideline:
white for all SEC home games
white for home opener (regardless of opponent)
purple for rest of home OOC schedule (but usually will request white for a big name opponent)

I have a friend who's a yuuuuuuge Nambla Lions fan. I mean the kind of guy who decorated his cubicle at work with photos of Ped State players and Joe Pervturdo.

Last night we texted about the game and during the conversation I used the term Perv State. He immediately became enraged and texted back; "Why do you need to bring up something that's over ten years old and may or may not have even happened?"

I answered because cultists like you say stupid things like "may or may not even have happened."

They're literally half a step behind holocaust deniers...

I've said it on this thread before and I'll say it again(and I'm sure multiple other times), but I had a boss who was a General Mgr of a major hotel. He was a Ped St alum, and said that alum referred to JoePa as God.... let that sink in.
And JoePa spoke at his graduation, and at a meeting for the entire hotel, he said that he heard got at his graduation... That's what these people are

Ha. Penn State's precious "white out" game will be on Peacock.
That's a message that the rest of the world doesn't care about your "white out".
No one cares.

An insane stat when I heard it, and even crazier writing it:
Leading rusher for Ped St was Allar and Tyler Warren
Leading WR for Ped St was Nicholas Singleton

I don't ever see a team winning a big game like that, unless your TE is Brock Bowers, your QB is Michael Vick, and that RB is Saquon Barkley. Knowles shut down that offense and forced Ped St into bad situations. Their star RBs were made irrelevant, and they have no explosive WRs.

There's an opening paragraph or two, and then the meat of the article starts. The first paragraph of the meat is about how Ohio State was NOT their white out game. Ha.

Penn State vs. Washington: The game

A night crowd and late start perhaps could have gotten Penn State’s juices flowing for last weekend’s Big Noon Kickoff against No. 4 Ohio State. The Lions kicked a field goal on their opening drive, scored a pick-6 touchdown and led 10-0 before Ohio State’s superior machinery kicked in. The Buckeyes rushed for 179 yards, handled the point of attack on both sides of the ball, and sunk Penn State to 1-12 in the head-to-head series since coach James Franklin in 2012.

I don't know why this makes me laugh so much. Their white-out game is going to be on Peacock. And they've decided to play the victims. This is funny to me.

They’re record in White-Outs is not even that great.

Pound sand or whatever they pound over there.

...
This offseason when you took a look at Penn State’s schedule, Week 10 was the obvious spot for the White Out, one of the best traditions in college football.
If you haven't paid attention to what they often do in these scenarios.
However, corporate interests trumped tradition and fears that FOX would claim (about their chances during) Penn State’s Week 10 matchup with Ohio State for its Big Noon Kickoff prompted the program to move the White Out a week later when the Nittany Lions host the Washington Huskies.
More accurate.
