Penn State Cult (Joe Knew)

They’re record in White-Outs is not even that great.
According to their Wikipedia site, their record is 11-8.
Of course, they've got countless white outs that don't count as their official white out. But I really don't care enough to research it.
How sad is it that they have "official" white outs and "unofficial" white outs?

How does James Franklin lose that game?

You've got the ball at the 3. First and goal at the 3. Yeah, a touchdown doesn't win. But it gets you to overtime. Or, you can gamble it all on a 2-pt conversion attempt. And there's plenty of time. Not just plenty of time for 4 tries to get into the endzone, but plenty of time after those 4 tries.

You've somehow failed to give the ball to the best guy on your sideline. He's the leading rusher on your team, and you didn't think, "I should give him the ball." On the one pass play, it appears you thought about throwing to him, but he's only about 2 feet taller than the guy defending him, so you threw it into triple coverage and didn't score. But Ohio State has it at the 1 yard line, and about 5 minutes on the clock. And you have all of your time outs. So... stop them from running it (everyone else in the stadium knows they're running it, I should hope James Franklin knows), and force a punt. You should get it back around the 50, with 4 minutes left and a time out or two, or maybe 3 minutes left with all of your time outs left.

Oh.. you couldn't get them to 4th down? Okay, try again - you know they're running it.
Oh.. you couldn't get them to 4th down? Okay, try again - you know they're running it.

Okay, you have to use all of your time outs now, but you HAVE to stop them..

Well, I guess you can go shake hands like a man. Hm... you didn't even do that very well. Last thing you can do is ignore the crowd and walk out of the stadium.

You really are the worst, aren't you?

Put your coffee down. Or beer or water or whatever. I'm not responsible for keyboards/laptops/monitors ruined for any spit-takes here...

And don’t be surprised if Allar shows up in Columbus next year for his last year.
No way. As of this time, Ohio State has three five star quarterbacks. Julian Sayin, from Alabama, Air Noland and as of now committed for 2025 tavien St Clair, who is the number one rated quarterback and the number two rated player in the 2025 class. Also, Devin Brown was about the 55th rated player and is a four-star quarterback and currently second string.
No way because Allar is turning pro most likely.

Do you really think the Buckeyes wouldn't pursue Allar if he hit the portal?

Question: other OSU fan sites claim Franklin blamed the loss on the refs and that he was fined 25k for shouting fuck your 3 times to a ref. Amy truth to the stories?
This is the first I've heard about it. But I haven't been to their boards, yet, today.
I know their fans aren't too happy with the refs, but I'd a-thunk we'd heard something if Franklin said that publicly, already, if it was public enough to get fined.
I know they don't like the one unsportsmanlike call for stepping over... I think it was Tate.
And they don't like that one of their receptions was reviewed and decided to be incomplete.
And... oh - the reception-fumble that was later ruled an incompletion.
And they aren't too happy with Igbonisun's interception - they think he was interfering with the receiver (yeah - the receiver's hand was stuck to Igbonisun's face mask, I guess), and then he didn't have control before he went out of bounds. Or maybe the receiver was out of bounds and touching the ball, making the ball out of bounds. Or something.
They also think the ball wasn't spotted correctly in the last 4 plays they had the ball. And there should have been PI called on Ohio State on 4th down.
I'm sure there's more that they're unhappy about, but I forget and I think those are the big ones. But I don't care to look up more.

So, you’re saying the ref fund had good ROI this year.

So, you’re saying the ref fund had good ROI this year.
What ref fund?

Actually, I think the game was called pretty fairly. The unsportsmanlike penalty was pretty crazy. Maybe the defender said something, or who knows. He certainly didn't need to step over Tate like that, but I've seen far worse not get called.
The one reception they had that was reviewed and overturned - I thought that could go either way, but really was called correctly in the end. I think the ground bumped it loose a little.
The reception-fumble and then turned into an incompletion - that was correctly overturned. I mean, compared to the play against Clemson, which was bullshit, of course. But this one was close and I think it was correctly turned into an incompletion.
Igbonisun's interception - I don't see how they have much of a complaint, really. Other than to be whiny bitches.
And those 3 running plays - he runs into a pile. I can't see where the ball is in any of them. I doubt anyone else can, either, from the video.
The 4th down pass - throw into triple coverage and there's contact on both sides. It's just a thing.
The only other thing that I can think of was the run by Howard that was later ruled a fumble and ruled out of the endzone - I think they got it right. But PSU fans whine and say it should never have been ruled a touchdown. Boo-fucking-hoo.

So, I don't think the ref fund did much. Maybe that one unsportsmanlike call. A good ref fund would have given us that touchdown. It would have let Igbonisun hang off receivers more. It would have called more holding penalties against Penn State when #44 had the ball.
