Ex-Penn St. president Graham Spanier's conviction restored

A federal appeals court on Tuesday reinstated former Penn State president Graham Spanier's conviction for child endangerment over his handling of a report that former assistant football coach Jerry Sandusky had sexually abused a boy in a team shower.

The 3rd U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals ruled a lower-court judge had improperly vacated Spanier's misdemeanor jury conviction for the 2001 incident.

This thread is pretty good. It turns into "Ohio State cheated 10 years ago and the Big Ten supported them. Penn State then beat Ohio State 4 years ago and the commissioner never forgave us for it!"

This is up there with whatever referee said to whatever player in some game (no one will agree to which game, player, or referee) that they're just lucky to be able to play football. There is no record of the actual event. And yet, it's a fact. And yet, when you show them footage of Paterno, who admittedly had a stomach issue earlier, wearing khaki pants, then he runs off the field in the 2nd quarter and into the locker room, only to come back out in the middle of the 3rd quarter in different pants, there is NO WAY that he might have sharted. No way. I'll admit that that's not necessarily the only answer, but it's possible. An old man with stomach issues? I guess my mistake is that I'm calling him a "man", as if he's mortal. I need to undergo some more brainwashing, I guess.

This starts out great, the first post implies that "science" is why the B1G decided not to let teams with fewer than 6 games play in the title game.
