So, you're saying that because you think Meyer was not 100% honest in what he said that it's OK to call him a liar and then belittle his wife for coming to his defense?

not 409 but I think people can say whatever the fuck they want to

No slander/libel or physical violence has been committed, so no crime.

Her husband is in a very public position, people are going to say shit. Deal with it.

So a wife can't upset when her husband is called a liar, just because he holds a highly-visible position? I'm not saying she's some sort of "victim", but she sure as hell has the right to be pissed off.

By the way, if I'm not mistaken, publicly calling someone a liar could indeed be slander/libel.

I think it's fair to call Urban Meyer a "liar" as regards things he said this past summer. Yes.

His wife --- yes, I understand that people will come to their loved one's defenses. But sometimes people also have blind spots. I've criticized Jay Paterno for being blind to the truth as regards his father's failings on Jerry Sandusky. Shelley seems blind as regards her husband's inability this past summer to tell the truth.

she can be upset just like they can call her husband names

For the record, I’ve seen Urban referred to as Urban Liar many a times well before the most recent incident involving Zach Smith and Urban’s presser.

People don’t like Urban. They come up with lame ass things to call him.

There are a lot of people that think he lied about having health problems in 2010 because he was afraid of Saban. Not a new nickname at all.

It is what it is --- the poster above me is using the moniker "Ped State." I'll be hearing that as a PSU alum until I die. That moniker doesn't bother me.

Where I struggle to be honest with you is the whole social media aspect of these things. I don’t disagree that Shelley needs a thicker skin and should just stay off of social media on these things. At the same time I think it is hilarious that the folks in that thread are dissing her for what she most likely knew and making Sue out to be a saint.

Unfortunately the days of just debating the aspects of a football game are gone. Thanks to social media everything and everyone are fair game to espouse whatever someone thinks while sitting behind a keyboard and a screen name....
