Penn State Cult (Joe Knew)

So if the NCAA gives back 409, will Ped State promise not to rape any more children?

Jesus Christ.

The NCAA needs to die.
It can't, apparently, do the important shit (Ped State).
And fucks up the easy shit (Manziel/Winston).

First, how do you castrate a university? I mean, literally take the testicles off of it? It can't be done, so far as I know, so that's not an "eye for an eye."

Second, last I checked they didn't take 409 wins away. So... the NCAA is supposed to just make up some extra wins for Joesus?

To be honest, I don't think it changes much.
Looks good cherry picking emails on their own blogs... and the cult will eat it up. But there is still an argument that PSU gained a competitive advantage by avoiding scandal, even if there was internal discussion doubting that train of thought. There's a lot left in that case, and PSU may yet get Paterno's legacy "restored" on paper... but I don't think emails debating how to strategically proceed prove much.
All the NCAA has to counter with is "Yes, we discussed our decision extensively [due diligence] and while there were some opinions to the contrary at first, ultimately we decided that PSU had gained a competitive advantage and thus it fell within our jurisdiction."
Cynical behavior by execs isn't illegal and entirely unremarkable imo.

I read a story today about 45 Muslims being arrested in Pakistan for beating a christian couple to death over another Quran desecration incident and it got me thinking that there just has to be someway to set these two pools of mutant sub-humans against each other.

Just has to be.

Getting these two tribes of equally bat shit crazy motherfuckers to off one another 10-15 a day would go along way in making this world a better place.

There's also the argument that, even if they didn't gain a competitive advantage (I believe they did), Paterno damn well thought they would.

The college football world knew him as the "Dean of Linebacker U," the defensive coach who helped Penn State win two national championships.
