Penn State Cult (Joe Knew)

ORD_Buckeye;2216833; said:
To me, the brightest hope for the place is that NO students came out for it, and the student newspapers were ripping the cultists on Monday morning.

However, you still have to keep in mind that after the scandal hit (but granted before the Freeh report came out) the alumni voted in three trustees: 2 certified Paterno dead enders and a former player and sympathetic figure who (despite the fact that he ultimately turned his back on the cult) it could be argued was assumed would take a pro-Joe stance.

I don't think the cult is the entirety of the fanbase, but I think it's bigger and more dysfunctional than at any other school.

It's funny that the BWI crowd attribute the student's non-participation as apathy. That can't be the case considering how they turned out to riot after JoePa was fired. What has changed is the Freeh report came out and most agree with the reasonable conclusion. They are still young and their whole identity is not wrapped up in JoePa's legacy. The older fans who experienced the glory of Dear Leader when he won can't seem to let go. I'm still waiting for an explanation of how Jerr wasn't arrested until after JoePa got his record. That is one sanction the NCAA should not rescind, but it is what the cultist want back. I'll never let a PSU fan forget this point because I consider it an obvious indication of how out of hand that place was/is. I always think about this and how pervasive the football culture was for this to occur.

Joe Pa was fired at night. This rally took place at 10am. I think people may be discounting this FACT.

Hope so.

I think there might something to this. The students just want all this bs to end. They don't care as much about exonerating Joe Pa because he wasn't much more than an average football coach to them. They'd rather move on than hope against hope that new evidents will change things.
I'm still waiting for an explanation of how Jerr wasn't arrested until after JoePa got his record.
FUCKING SERIOUSLY.

I really hope the feds are investigating this. I'm no lawyer, and I didn't stay at a holiday inn express last night, but there seemed to be a long time between the grand jury interviews and the presentment. Considering how big of a threat Jer was to children, you'd hope that this process would happen as rapidly as possible. The timing is just too suspicious.

Get in the Bronco, Dan. I'm not coming to bumfuck PA. You're going to need to come to Chicago. I'm a grad student on the South Side of Chicago. You PM me a date and time, and I'll pm you the place. Seriously, Dude. Between the body building and the aggressive dogs, you're overcompensating for a lack of something.....girth, length or both....either that or you haven't come to grips with the fact that you might be gay. You're too transparent. You're a god damned walking and breathing stereotype. I'll be more than happy to kick some sense into you. If I can't accomplish that, I'll settle for kicking the shit out of you.

I wish you had stayed at a holiday inn and could investigate this. Way too coincidental. It is also an indication of how serious of a problem it was. Not just the raping of children (which I agree should have been stopped ASAP) but a suspected coverup. Everyone knew that as soon as Jerr was arrested the [Mark May] would hit the fan and Joe would probably be fired. Why else wait?

I'm getting PO'd at the Pedsters just thinking about how they perverted CFB. What is the facebook login? Need to vent. Never mind, I'll just leave a comment.

FWIW.......if Joe Paterno (and company) were coaching this team we'd be 3-0ReplyWe would've won UGLY, but we'd STILL be 3-0 and leading The B1G!

Anyway, I had the day off and I wanted to share.

" Throughout human history, as our species has faced the frightening, terrorizing fact that we do not know who we are, or where we are going in this ocean of chaos, it has been the authorities --- the political, the religious, the educational authorities --- who attempted to comfort us by giving us order, rules, regulations, informing --- forming in our minds --- their view of reality. To think for yourself you must question authority and learn how to put yourself in a state of vulnerable open-mindedness, chaotic, confused vulnerability to inform yourself."

You should post on that page to let them know you've reported them to Facebook for fraudulently representing the real Rally 4 Resignations page. They're dumb enough to believe that's a real thing.

Haha, nice. But I think this is a little closer:

So, if anyone wants to keep THE REAL Penn State Rally4Resignations facebook and twitter pages going, pm me, and we'll talk.

The facebook page has actually gained a second life, so I'm thinking of handing this whole thing off Dread Pirate Roberts style.

Someone truly spectacular would need to take it over:pirate1:

Morons. They do realize that I did nothing illegal, so it's going to be very difficult to get a subpoena or court order ordering my internet provider to give up any info.

Secondly, coming after me personally with threats or anything else they might consider actually IS illegal, and I actually have all of their REAL names and the cities in which they live.

They'll tire of their little game and run home soon enough.

You know what's great about the cult's comments on the facebook page?

How many of them are telling me that they've reported me to the authorities.

I wonder if the sick irony of that resonates at all.

CleveBucks;2217047; said:
Of course they did. They waited until after the weekend to report it.
