The Croke Park director said they eventually brought Penn State because of its “emphatic” response to the scandal.

“They were penalized and, dare I say it, rightly so,” McKenna told the paper. “In any sport or organization they are abhorrent activities. And it is worth talking about. It is worth saying there is a better way and I think Penn State has adopted a better way, taking an immediate and emphatic response to it.”

When this is all said and done, I have a feeling it's the Croke Park director that wishes he would've known sooner about what's really going on there.

Drove to Bristol, CT today to support our local LL team who was playing PA for the right to go to Williamsport (they got beat handily by a Philly team that looked like all stars of an all star team - I'll leave it at that). Had my OSU hat on and 2 separate Ped Enabler State fans made smart ass remarks about tats and cheating. My response... "at least our coach never enabled a pedophile..." Crickets

The "cult" are full of themselves right now. let's just see how long that lasts when they start losing football games.
And Bristol is a nothing kind of town. Not much there besides ESPiN. When I lived in CT I didn't waste any time there.
Now, New Haven is a great town. Lots of restaurants and great food and sports and entertainment happening.

Enabling improper benefits vs. enabling a pedophile. Roughly 1 year vs. roughly 10 years.

I think one of my favorite arguments I've heard from Penn Staters is about how they don't belong in the Big Ten because of the "small-town" junk that goes on in the Big Ten. All the teams are in small towns. Other than Chicago, there are no "big towns". I checked it all out on wikipedia months ago. Maybe over a year ago. The city of State College ranked #11 or 12 in size of city. They also ranked #11 of 12 in metropolitan area size. (Different #12 between the two lists, but I forget which those schools were.)

So poo to them.

I'm sure I've told this story before...but my dad's friends would always give him shit about Columbus being a cow town in the middle of nowhere. My first trip to their shithole stadium where you actually have to park in a cow field had me more than a little confused at how these people have gotten this far through life without accidentally walking off tall buildings.
