Penn State Cult (Joe Knew)

Must be my Ohio State bias, but on one of the video featurettes during Joe Paterno's Memorial, the lone part that stuck out to me during the 2-3 minute piece was Troy Smith getting crushed by Tamba Hali (nothing about JoePa).

If a different featurette showed Steve Bellisari getting clothes-lined, then it would be a conspiracy

Pedtard's now fancy themselves poets...

ODE THE THE BOARD OF TRUSTEDS

Joe Paterno invited us in
You showed us exclusivity

He showed us forthrightness
You showed us secrecy

He showed us an open door
You met behind closed ones

He showed us perseverance
You showed us capitulation

He showed us character
You showed us cowardice

He showed us loyalty
You showed us betrayal

He showed us preparedness
You showed us incompetence

He showed us graciousness
You showed us defiance

He gave his money away
You worried about getting more

He needed your support
You showed him the door

He showed us bravery
You used him as a human shield

He gave us sixty-one years of his life
You made his last three months hell

One thing you have in common
You legacies at Penn State are complete
I wish you well

Yeah, what the fuck it up with the poems? O Capatin my Captain, some other drivel... this thing.

Seem like a more of a limerick crowd to me anyway...

Too bad Sandusky isn't from Nantucket.

One of the saddest things about this whole revisionist spectacle is that he COULD have been a hero and chose not to in order to preserve his legacy. If he had raised holy hell about Sandusky's pedophilia when he first found out, it would only have eventually enhanced his legacy. He could've been the guy that fired and turned in his friend, coordinator and probable successor because it was the right and only thing to do, but chose not to. As such, I agree with BB73 (as usual), his legacy can't and shouldn't be untarnished now.

This is not in the form of a poem.
