Your reading comprehension needs help (as usual)....they wanted to find more victims and not just the one kid prior to bringing charges. Read more than the first sentence of the story next time.

Isn't that admitting that he didn't go to the police? Their story all along was that since the VP of Finance was in charge of police somehow (probably ran their budget or some shit), that he counted as the highest policeman on campus. Now they're saying even if he did go to the police, nothing would have happened.
