Penn State Cult (Joe Knew)

So the only people who may have an opinion are the ones who were in the shower. Right.
With that logic, if two guys are in a room together, alone, and one guy kills the other, he can't possibly be found guilty of murder - no one else could know what happened in that room.
Right, it is between them and their lord and savior. Unfortunately for the victims, to the Ped Staters, Joesus IS the lord and savior, and we all know what he decided - not to ruin anyone's weekend.

Which will happen first: the cult will finally "move on" or I will get bored with making fun of them?

Moving on: Covering up or just lazy

For the past two-and-a-half years, we have seen Old Main and some others in the university community pushing a move-on agenda. I see only two explanations for moving on -- covering up for transgressions or past failures or laziness. Those in Old Main, and I include the November 2011 trustees in this, are obviously close to the sandusky mess, and some of them likely are covering up something (e.g., having prior knowledge of sandusky and not acting, connections to The Second Mile, etc.). They have shifted blame and want to move on like nothing happened to protect themselves. We are left to speculate as to what they are protecting, but I have put forth a couple ideas here, and many of you have put forth others since November 2011.

Those who are pushing the move-on agenda but are not close to the sandusky mess are lazy. Rather than fight for the truth or challenge the status quo, they claim to focus on a "bright future" for Penn State. They don't have the gumption or wherewithal to revisit the ugly issues that have faced this university and certainly have no interest in facing the ugly truth and making necessary changes to ensure that this never happens again. They just want puppies and rainbows for Penn State. Think good thoughts, focus on the positives, and the rest will all go away. Everything will be fine. Of course, they fail to consider the ramifications of the university committing injustices on real people and that the move-on culture makes it likely for the university to commit such injustices in the face of scandal or controversy again.

Moving on is covering up or laziness.

Not even a hint at thinking that maybe Joesus was the issue they are "moving on" from. Not a mention of, "Hey - maybe the blame was put right where it should have been."

How is this guy still alive? He must be a troll.

Talking about how Erickson took the cowardly way out by signing the consent decree. Then this guy gets his opinion in:

Good thing he did.......
otherwise PSU football would have been saddled with a multi-year death penalty which would have severely crippled all of PSU Athletics and possibly resulted in the conference abandoning PSU. Rod took the lesser of two evils which was the right course of action considering the uncertainty of having a favorable outcome from long and protracted litigation.

A Paterno Analogy
Lets say your brother, has a young child. That child gets sick and has a fever. He's had the flu before. Maybe this time there are some unusual symptoms. The father, your brother, assumes it's the flu and doesn't take the child to the hospital right away. As it turns out, the child had meningitis and the child sadly passes. This being your brother, you know he had nothing but the best intentions. Because he is not a doctor he did not know the child had meningitis.
Now imagine everyone in the community is saying your brother intentionally let his child die. They say its because your brother didn't want to deal with the medical bills. How absurd a statement would that be! When you first heard this, you would probably punch the person in the face who made the accusation. Now people are going after YOU for defending your brother, despite the fact that the brother has never been charged with any crime. How can you respond to people who say things like "your brother let his child die"?
Here we have the makings of a very polarizing situation. It's all about intentions, which are almost impossible to prove. Many people "knew" the intentions of the father, based on the narrative they bought. The narrative sticks, because you cant disprove it. Yet if it was your brother, you would need a huge sum of evidence before you turned your back on him.
Would you blame the father in this situation? Would you make the death about the negligence of the father or would you make it about meningitis? At a certain point blaming the father becomes counter productive. People feel it can't happen to them because they love their children, when instead they should educate themselves about the warning signs of meningitis.

So... Paterno didn't stop the rape because he didn't know the warning signs of rape?

MM: "I saw Coach Sandusky raping a kid in the shower!"
Joesus: "Meh - kids sure do love to eat applesauce!"

Re: Some possible news coming out re: FranklinReply
Let's not kid ourselves - this is HUGE if even remotely true. And it won't just be the Greg Doyle's of the world pounding us into submission. Urby has just given the order to top off the jet...he's got another chance to circle our class like a vulture.

Amazing how quickly he went to the "pound into submission" analogy.

To no one's surprise the alumni of PSU just voted all three PS4RS sponsored, Paterno loyalist in as new BOT members. The reasonable candidates were not even close to the top 3.

FACT!: Anyone who says the cult is just a few crazies on BWI or some football obsessed t-shirt alumni is kidding themselves. The vast majority of that alumni base are Paterno cultists and truthers, and they deserve whatever shit sandwich is stuffed in their mouths at away stadiums. EVIDENTS: This makes a total of 9 trustees elected since JoePed went to hell, and all 9 are cultist Joebots.

BEAT NEBRASKA!
