Can I get an AMEN brothers and sisters!? Hallelujah! If you deconstruct the cult's worldview and JoePed's place within, it truly takes on a messianic, Christ narrative. And of course, Joesus fed this every step of the way.
Joesus was a humble man despite his otherworldly greatness.
Joesus only wanted to make the (college athletics) world better through his selfless example
Joesus left an example and a legacy of how the (college athletics) world should be: success with honor and the grand experiment.
Joesus was a (relatively) poor man making only a couple of hundred grand and giving most of that away to the library.
And because of his saintly goodness........
The existing power structure was jealous and threatened of Joesus for his teaching and the example he was setting
Joesus was persecuted for being a rebel shaking up the existing order
Joesus was betrayed by those closest to him
Joesus, in his dying days, was publicly humiliated and scorned
Joesus was driven to his death by those who were both threatened by him and unwilling to accept his greatness and the truth of his message.
To be followed by......
Joesus left behind a band of true believers (disciples if you will) who know the true story and will never stop fighting (and spreading the gospel) until it becomes the accepted and universal truth of the land.
