Penn State Cult (Joe Knew)

Penn State has two scholarship QBs on their roster... Neither of whom have a snap at the FBS level.

Its for the best in the long run.

He didn't even have the decency to wait until Monday to tell anyone, he was obviously not Penn State material.

This genius wrote the article AFTER it became known that Bench is going to transfer. Another article he wrote after the Bench news is his game-by-game prediction for the 2013 season in which he predicts PSU will go 9-3 (losses: tOSU and Wiscy on the road and NU and home).

If Mike80 didn't say he knew him, I'd swear this was the Thakid writing under a psuedonym.

From the comments section (in response to a comment that Ohio State's backfield was 'just as good' as PSU's...

No where close. Zach Zwinak is better than the entirety of OSU's backfield, he brings a hard-nosed style of play that none of the backs on OSU obtain.

Scandal aside, this is a snapshot of why the cult is among the worst fan bases in sports. They have ZERO awareness of anything outside their sparrow fart little town. Never have. Just like...well...a cult.

Does Lynch give PSU the best RB duo in the B1G?

PSU has the leading yardage WR.

PSU has the best group of TE's.

But...

Does the addition of Lynch give PSU the best RB duo, too?

Here's the Bleach Report's take Link

Now, here's my take...

I think it is a valid question. Firstly, I could care less about another team's players. Therefore, I wouldn't know about anybody else. Secondly, it is my impression that ZZ looked like a 1,300-yard RB last year. And, I get the impression that Lynch will be just as hard for opposing defenses to stop. For those pushing the buttons on their calculator accessory on their computer, that's somewhere between 2,000-2,600 yards worth of production, right off the top. Belton is in there, too, but I am talking about 2 players, on the same team, who are capable of 20+ carries at 5.0 ypc. Theoretically speaking, the new QB need never throw a pass.

This rumpke guy might be the same pedster who wrote that article....he tries to use phrasing to make himself sound smarter than he actually is and comes off looking like a complete hilljack, which he undoubtedly is...

Just so everyone is clear here, Penn State:

Loses their starting QB who was by far the best player on their offense.

Returns one player who started every game along their offensive line last season.

Returns one RB (Zwinak) with 1000 yards (exactly) and 6 TDs last season and no one else worth a damn.

Brings in a true freshman 3-star RB who looked good in the spring game against their massively depleted defense.

Cults, man. :shake:

Hey, does anyone remember the make or break game for Penn State's 'season of redemption' against Ohio State at night in Beaver Stadium? They pulled out all the stops with a white out in this critical game.

link

A night game, at Beaver Stadium, against the Ohio State Buckeyes. You think a few people will show up? Everything on paper points to Penn State having a slight advantage in this matchup. That's not to say the chances won't be there for Urban Meyer and Braxton Miller to put some serious points on the board. But if the Lions can play the sound fundamental football they're capable of, this game shouldn't have to be as close as we all know it is going to be.

When is the last time we were unranked and come in against a top ten team and feel like we can win it? It has been years since I can remember that. Yes we all want to say we feel we can win any game but now I really feel like we can win tomorrow. This has been one of the best college football years I can remember so much fun watching this team. Yes old Penn State teams were fun and everything but something about this year.

Bill: This game comes down to emotion. As evidenced by the surge in ticket sales and the record setting number of tents in ahem...Nittanyville, there is a level of excitement for this game that is almost unparalleled. The whiteout, the winning streak and a hated, undefeated nationally ranked rival have contributed to the excitement but lets face it, this game is Penn State's reckoning. Part of me wants to say Ohio State is walking into a hornet's nest. But then I think about the Ohio game where the team came out gangbusters but could not maintain the intensity level in the second half. If the team keeps the crowd in the game and plays for sixty minutes, I think they come out on top. If they go into the locker room at the half with a two score lead and come out flat, Happy Valley will get real quiet, real fast. My prediction is the seniors on this team will not let that happen; Penn State 34 - Ohio State 24.

And then they honored the team anyway?

They are so not wrapped up in one person at all:

An alumni, apparently wanting to run for the BOT later in life, is being hammered by the cultists for saying this:

RT @Devon2012: I'm glad that so many agree that "responsible stewardship" of a global university starts with fighting for the legacy of a dead guy.

RT @Devon2012: I agree that the BoT is in crucial need of reform. But worshiping at the altar of Joe Paterno isn't the best way to go about that.

In other words taking a sane and logical approach will get you hammered by the message board cultists over at BWI.

Then, one of the pure cultists, 9fold, we get this little gem:

I have spoken to many people over the past year and a half about Joe and the Sandusky matter, including both fans of other college football programs and people who don't like college football. Folks who have given me 10-15 minutes of their time have heard many details related to Joe and the Sandusky matter that they had never heard from the media. As a result, they have come away with an entirely different perspective. Frankly, things I told them opened their eyes.

(For the record, I have backed up my claims by citing sources and offering to send the people I have spoken with pertinent information. Most have refused, but at least they listened and came away with a different perspective.)

Bull. Fucking. Shit. This guy hasn't talked to anyone whose opinion changed after being beat over the head with a cardboard cut out of Joe while having "FACTS!!! EVIDENTS!!!!" screamed at them.

Also, in another thread they are seriously disputing that JoePed crapped his pants at the Ohio State game a few years ago. Pretty sure the old fuck basically said that is what happened, but lets not get the real facts (not to be confused with FACTS!!!) get in the way.

I officially hate the "Joe truthers" more than scUM now. Those rational, yet myopic, PSU fans still are second to the scUMmers, but this "cult within a cult" deserves nothing but ridicule and scorn.

This remind me of this:

Have these FACTS and EVIDENTS that open people's eyes, refute the Freeh Report and prove Paterno's innocence ever actually shown up anywhere? Or were they magically translated in a hat from golden tablets that no one else is allowed to see?
