At each game, I wore a Penn State jersey and wanted Penn State to win, but I also wore an Illinois cap out of respect. Not this year. I'm going to Champaign this weekend, and all my Illinois gear is staying home. I haven't worn Illinois gear since the Illini coaching staff showed up in State College in July.

I wish there was a way to unafiliate the PSU Athletic programs from the University. Obviously the University and the so-called students do not show the teams the proper respect, nor do they show the proper respect to Joe. One has to wonder where their priorities are in all of this.

Obviously, to compete in the NCAA we have to be affiliated with a school, but we have seen professional schools within a public university system semi-privatize, I wonder if there is something similar that can be done with athletics?


with a post count of only 162 I would hope so....
