I'm thinking that with some of the transfers...was they didn't like/couldn't deal with the intense S&C program installed by Craig Fitzgerald. BOB has called 'Fitz the top S&C coach in college football. So we don't need any wusses on the team moving forward. Did you hear the quote by Fitzgerald? Was something like "we only want warriors here." Clearly the transfers/quitters are NOT warriors.....

Just wanted to add that Michael Mauti is a warrior. And even though I have not been a big Matt McGloin fan, the kid loves Penn State, wants to be here gives his all, to me McGloin is a warrior also. If the OL plays well this year, I look for McGloin to have a big year numbers wise that could shock a lot of people. For one thing no more splitting time with Bolden and the new offense should make him more productive.

So, they have their BARWIS!!!1!!!!11!!! now.

So, again, Joe was a God, a coaching genius, and we had the best program in the world until the MEDIA screwed us, BUT now we have a BETTER coach, better program and better players 'cause they wanna be here?

This isn't surprising- protocol went out the window:

BWI will have a field day with this:

Yup.

From that last part....No, the presidents of the other universities weren't thinking of the victims when they said shut them down. Nor was it that Ped State had condoned moral-less years of operation. Oh no, it was revenge for mediocre football and graduation rates. :roll2:

You are forgetting O'Brien's pedigree. Virtually every player he has coached in the past 5 years has played in the NFL. No other college coach can say that.

Kids would be fools to go anywhere else. Urban Meyer couldn't find the NFL on a map.

I think the current Board should talk to all of the former Board members who served under JoePa and get their paychecks refunded to the University. Reason being, it is becoming extremely obvious to me that they didn't do jack shit as far as decision making or anything that remotely resembles guiding a University while Joe was there. How can a group of supposedly educated people fuck up an investigation so badly?

Let me get this straight - you hire an investigator to conduct an investigation into child sex abuse occurring on your campus, by one of your employees, and when the report is released, you, as the leaders of your beloved university, cannot find time in your busy schedule to read it? Amazing......

To be honest, the more I visit PSU sites the more concerned I become about our game in Happy Valley:

1. BOB only wants warriors.

Urban has made it clear that he would like an even mix of warriors and wussies with a few jokesters thrown in to keep things light.

2. BOB says he has the best S&C coach in CFB.

Who would know better than a man who has been coaching college football since January?

3. BOB's teams will be motivated.

Urban stresses balance in all things. Family is important as well as football. Music. The arts. The occasional evening curled up on the sofa with a big bowl of popcorn and the latest rom-com.

4. BOB's teams want to win to shove it in the face of the NCAA, the media and the general public.

Urban likes to win too, but also feels that so long as you give your best - there is no reason to hang your head.

5. PSU will be playing in front of over 200,000 rabid fans.

I don't have the stats in front of me, but I don't believe OSU has one more than 2 or 3 road games in the past decade.

6. The recent spate of transfers has only made PSU stronger. The fat has been trimmed. Only those who are "all in" remain.

OSU is bloated with returning starters and an overall depth that can only prove to be problematic.

7. While some have left, monuments will be built to those who stayed.

You can't beat monuments. Not even Urban can beat monuments.

8. And most importantly: Peachy Paterno ice cream.

It makes as much sense as anything else.

Cripes...we were this close to being rid of these mutants. In retrospect, I bet the ncaa wishes they would have just shut them down. At this point, I'm just hoping Mitchell has the sack to shut them down if [Mark May] gets too crazy...and it will, these barbarians know nothing but extremes.

I e-mailed Emmert a link to the Freeh Stooges t-shirt sight. My subject line read: Paterno Cult Still Does Not Get It.

It gets better each passing hour. Paterno files an appeal from the grave

This is an awesome level of fail. Jay and Scott thought they were going to milk the old man's legacy like the Sinatra kids. Now, they're scared shitless that they're going to have to go out and get jobs.

Is it wrong to admit that the first thing that popped into my head when I read that was the theme to the Partridge Family only changed to have the chorus sing, "C'mon get stupid."

They just wanted to kill PSU for no other reason than being vindictiveReply These people are absolutely drunk with power. I am starting to see parallels here with Nazi Germany.

It's...it's...it's as if the Nazis nailed Christ to the Cross.

I doubt that's it. I honestly don't think those two are smart enough to see that far into the future. Their lawyer, however, might see the end of the never ending stream of Dear Leader's cash flow drying up.....
