yawn players who have transfered either never played
or were overrated football players. There is no way I will miss
Kevin Haplea...3 catches in his career, buried on the depth chart and used this as a "get off the bench free" card
Khairi Fortt ....couldn't beat out Carson but may be the guy I miss the most
Pollard....hard to miss what you haven't seen
Bolden....simply stunned that a major program offered him
Redd.... THere is no way he is a future first round draft pick. We may experience addition by subtraction as I think Belton is better than Silas. It's my opinion that Silas knew Belton was better and ran from the future diminished role.
The kicker...whatever...funny but he may be the guy who is toughest to replace
Tim Buckley...i spend some portion of nearly every day on this board and have never heard of him.

I spoke with a good friend who was a trainer within the athletic department. He contends that he NEVER saw Jerry Sandusky on campus with a kid. NEVER. He never saw Jerry at a football practice.. EVER.. In fact, he went so far as to say that in the last 13 years Joe Paterno never saw Jerry Sandusky himself on campus. I find it amazing that there is this perception that Sandusky was bringing kids to practice and walking around the facilities.
I had mentioned in the past, I personally NEVER saw Jerry Sandusky in the stadium around game days. I asked several former players if they saw him around the Lettermans Suite in the stadium. NEVER. In the Lettermans parking lot with former players? NEVER..
So I do not know where all of this is coming from...

IgnoreIf that's what Ericksen wanted, Why Didn't He Just Leave....Reply If Ericksen wanted some geek school where football was an afterthought and kids spent their Saturdays in the library, why didn't he go to a university like that. He was the frickin' Provost of Penn State, he certainly could have gotten a job as a full, tenured professor at some commie, nerd school. Instead of going where he would fit in, he's now jumped into the vacuum in Penn State's leadership and is evidently intent on remolding us into some vision of Swarthmore.
Choosing a president based on what he says about your favorite college football team. Now Obama is in their doghouse.

Mark Brennan posted this on the TAP board and I thought it was worth sharing here as well:

I missed this earlier today.
But this is just another instance of how out of touch the NCAA is with this transfer stuff.
On Cowherd today, Kiffin said, "In true SC fashion, we called one of our great donors, in Ted Jones at Fletcher-Jones Mercedes. I called him, we were at the Soho House for the Pac-12 dinner, and he said, 'Let me guess, you're calling about Silas, where you at?' So he sent his big ole Mercedes jet, which was in Vegas, to pick us up in L.A."

Silly Pedsters are arguing over whether it's illegal to recruit players while flying in a jet. Not only is it legal, but what they don't realize is that a Mercedes Jet is a van, not a plane.
