I just wanted to archive my first and pretty much last dealing with Penn State fans. Way back in 2008, I posted on BlackShoeDiaries. Their lack of reason, comprehension, and perception of reality was evident even back then.

Oh, it's even much longer than that. I was on a project in PGH last fall when the indictment came down. One of the gals on that project had graduated from PSU in 1984. She said that Jerry had several nicknames when she was there - one of which was "Jerry the Perv" and that his preference for young boys was one of the worst kept secrets as early as the 80's.

Yep, it is definitely LOIC except for the fact the the head coach, AD, VP, and Pres didn't cover it up for at least 14 years.

Whenever I need a laugh, BWI or Audibles never let me down.

Then you have this in the same post:

The ACC instantly vaults past the Big Ten and into the league of the SEC and Big 12 the minute Penn State's name is dry on the contract. Whatever, the ultimate ramifications of the sanctions, the ACC knows that they would be making a hundred year decision in taking Penn State.

Their lack of self awareness is truly astounding. They've been (largely) mediocre since joining the B1G. Now they have Ben O'Brannigan, a coach who New England couldn't wait to see go, leading them. They're saddled with crippling sanctions, and the stench of the worst scandal in NCAA history. But, despite all of that, they still think they're a "premier" program. It isn't surprising. I mean, these are the same mutants that thought Les Miles, Nick Saban, Bob Stoops, and Jon Gruden were involved in a steel cage match for the privilege of taking over their crippled program.
