The Cult's obsession and delusion with regard to their's BoT is one of the more entertaining aspects of visiting BWI. I mean, the BoT was handed a giant shit sandwich by Paterno and his flunkies doing nothing when told about Sandusky, yet it is all the Board of Trustees' fault. There is no universe in which a university or corporate board of directors would have called the victims' liars or taken up for the employees that allowed the abuse to go on for decades.
This is almost true. What they actually believe is that the BoT killed him, by firing him. They honestly believe somebody should be charged with manslaughter. The cult's primary grievance with the BoT is that they fired Joesus, plain and simple. They would have preferred the BoT dug their heels in and refuse to fire him and then accept whatever penalty the NCAA was going to pass down, up to and including the death penalty. That, in their eyes, would have been a much better course of action.
That, combined with the fact that many of them are convinced that there is some magical document buried in the BoT's inner circle that completely exonerates Joesus of all wrongdoing - hence the constant calls for transparency and honesty.

The Chicago Police Department would have.

The Irish Mafia? Yup... pretty much.
