Penn State Cult (Joe Knew)

The linked thread isn't the biggest BWI whinefest ever, but I am amused by the subject matter. A recent poll concerning the statues of various historical figures left Joesus faring worse than Confederate general Robert E. Lee. A huge 81-percent of respondents replied that Joesus' statue deserved to be taken down. The only figure in the poll who fared worse than Joesus was Civil War lieutenant general turned Klansman Nathaniel Bedford Forrest.

Robert E. Lee was a traitor to his country who believed in owning other people, yet the poll is pretty clear. If Lee had found out that Stonewall Jackson was buggering young boys, he certainly would not have looked the other way for 30 years while imploring the Army of Northern Virginia to "Beat the Union."

Naturally, the Cult blames the results of the poll on the BoT and says that people are ignorant when it comes to the scandal.

We all know that our own BOT despises Joe more than Robert E. Lee.

In fact, if they don't publicly dispute this, you could make the case that they are in support of the Confederacy. Perhaps they will replace Joe's statue with one of General Lee.

wait whut..?? so... if the bot.. doesn't publicly dispute..... "this"... somehow, then it is proof the bot supports the ideals and actions of the confederacy and wish to separate from the union?

So Penn State fans are grumpy because a couple (or maybe it was just one) of Pitt fans think Pitt has a chance this weekend. Someone mentions that Pitt fans should continue to celebrate last year's win over Penn State (which I guess was 42-39). This post caught my eye:

PSU was clearly the better team last year, they just shot themselves in the foot twice in the final two minutes. That was on the road, severely banged up, and only two games into a new offensive system.

Pitt won the game, but in this guy's opinion (pandaczar12), Penn State passed the "eye test". (OK - those are my words for what he's saying. But could anyone here argue with me?) I wonder if pandaczar12 has ever whined that Ohio State passed the "eye test" despite losing to Penn State.

My memory can be a little distorted when it comes to Penn State.....but I remember Pitt kicking their teeth in all game, and Penn State getting lucky at the end to even make it close.

Pandaczar12 may not be quite as deranged as Cultists like pnnylion or Todd Brewster, but he is always pretty far out there. Pandaczar12 also definitely has an obsession with Pitt. He is one of those "They're not our rivals," yet continues to post about Pitt continuously Pedsters.

Sports Illustrated puts Penn State #3 in their "power poll." Bama is #1, Ohio State is #2, Penn State is #3, and Michigan is #4. Someone (some genius, I'm sure) (not me - I had to spell check the word "genius") noticed that the Big Ten has 3 in the top 4. The thread changes from "Hey, good for us!" to "I hate this conference", "I want the rest of the conference to lose", and "I want 'The Game' to be irrelevant." Kind of like Lennie Small. He gets a pretty, new puppy, but then, as always, he just crushes it.
