Penn State Cult (Joe Knew)

Sue Paterno decided to "call off the dogs" as it seems she learned her sense of justice from her husband:

"Our goal has always been to uncover and make transparent the full truth. We have done all we can in this litigation to achieve that end and the furtherance of it beyond this point will not yield anything new, which is why I have decided to end my litigation with the NCAA"

"Joe was a man of integrity who didn't fear the truth, but rather embraced it. And this is why he urged the administration to slow down and conduct an objective, independent and thorough investigation..."

She left out FAX and EVIDENTS in her statement. Clearly she needs to spend more time on BWI

That entire family is utterly incapable of telling the most obvious truth. They dropped the lawsuit because their lawyers told them that they had no chance of winning and probably told them that a lot more dirt on Joesus would get dragged out if they went to court. It's as simple as that.

Oh, and didn't she just admit publicly that Joesus did tell his nominal superiors to slow down.

How is the cult spinning all of this?

Some of the cult say this is a victory because the initial reason for the lawsuit was to get the victories back, probation reduced and to write the Paterno report to discredit Freeh, so mission accomplished. Others are pissed that there is no closure without the FAX and EVIDENTS coming to light. They are hoping for Curley or Spanier to write a book before they die that will clarify what 'after speaking to Coach Paterno' meant. There's also a faction that believes that this was timed with JayPed taking his seat on the BoT Monday with the assumption that this now frees him to kick ass and take names in his pursuit to restore order. In other words, the same obsession by the same delusional cultists

God, they grasp at straws. Does it not occur to them that JayPed might have a bit more leverage with the BoT were they to win the lawsuit?

So, here's my lawsuit scorecard so far:

  1. Sandusky convicted of all but one count including the majority of counts related to the shower incident.
  2. Ped State spends tens of millions of dollars to keep the "victims" (or whatever people are calling them) out of court, including those who said Joe Knew as far back as the 70s.
  3. The Ginger wins a whistleblower lawsuit against Ped State
  4. Schultz and Curley plead guilty to charges
  5. Spanier fights charges and is convicted
  6. Paterno family suddenly drops their lawsuit right before the discovery was about to be made public, thus keeping anything found in the discovery process out of the public eye.
And wasn't there a defamation lawsuit against Freeh? Or was that just fundraising talk by Arabas or Ziegler?

But I'm sure the next lawsuit will finally end the false narrative and rush to judgement and redeem Joesus with an avalanche of FAX and EVIDENTS!

One is a point, two is a line, three (or more) is a trend

Fortunately, Cult hero John Ziegler has explained why the Paternos dropped the lawsuit. The move was all about protecting the "victim" (or whatever you want to call him) of the 1971 assault. That's just how the Paternos roll, always putting the "victims" ahead of Joesus' reputation.

Well, it's encouraging that Ziegler at least recognizes that he is insane. It's a first step.
