This loss wasn't even close to being as heartbreaking (in the timeframe you mentioned) as the tosu and Nebraska losses - both were stolen by corrupt or inept officiating (both on the field and in the booth)...literally had wins taken away by the b1g.

2005 Michigan by far the worst loss. The officiating at the end of the game was criminal with adding 2 seconds back on the clock and the toe heel catch. We would have played for the National Championship with that win and probably won.

This comical claim always cracks me up, even if PSU beat scUM they would not had been put in the BCS title game over Texas or USC....and they likely would had lost to either if they were.

Again, if DaeSean Hamilton had 4 inch longer arms we would be all whooping it up and comparing Saturday's game to the 48 -14 game.

I remember a claim that if Marcus Hall were called for targeting (in the head and neck) on a block in 2013 - maybe in the first quarter - that 63-14 game would have been way closer.
One call can change the results of a 7-touchdown difference.
I'm pretty sure Braxton's scramble in 2012 that they whine about no holding changed the tide of that game, too.
Oddly, enough, they don't complain about 2015, from what I've seen.

I agree with you. However what happened, unintentionally of course, was that it made the situation worse than it needs to be, and had the opposite effect than perhaps originally intended. They must realize now, the larger sports-media complex is just waiting for anything they can pounce on that remotely feeds their "Joe Paterno" meme.

I also want to add I took one for the team and listened to Lauren's interview with known shock-jocks Boers and Bernstein in Chicago. She did very well, not taking the intricately flattering bait-laden set-up, akin to "Welcome to my parlor said the spider to the fly".

Bernstein tried to trap her with an elaborate spider-web of lies and hardly even let her speak, calling Anthony and others disgusting names. Lauren spoke only of her piece and her opinions. He was actually egging her on to create a student revolt against the alumni.

I did a rebuttal to them online because they are a "special project" of mine. They have been preaching hate and death and napalming of PA for 5 years now. It needs to stop.

Perhaps the lesson learned for the DC is to not feed the media trolls. It won't make you famous in the long run?
