Who else has a guy in charge for 50 years? Just the number of former players (and their siblings and parents and kids and wives) is enough to create a decent size town. That "culture" is virtually unprecedented, and will never be replicated.

The sad thing to me is how Joe's reputation was destroyed because he didn't do enough. Criticism is usually focused on people that do bad things. Joe did the right thing, just not enough of it. I can't think of a person in history that was persecuted so severely for something like that (at least not in the last 2,000 years).
