Short but entertaining BWI thread. A Pedster wants to know if the country's opinion will ever change that Joesus allowed Sandusky to rape kids. Naturally, this question came about because a friend suggested such a thing and the Pedster admittedly became "enraged" by the claim. The solutiion from the next poster: Tell the offending party that there will be no more discussion of the topic until the person sullying Joesus' name knows the FACTS -- or risk violence from a Penn St. fan.

Jerademan74: "Last night, I was in a social setting here in Atlanta, and a person who I thought was my friend (a GA Tech grad BTW) came over to me and said..." so why would the NCAA now give Paterno back his wins after it was clear that he knew about Sandusky's actions at Penn State, but still allowed him on campus to rape more innocent boys?". Well, I got really enraged by this question and started ripping into him by telling him that Paterno did tell his superiors what he had heard, and that he himself couldn't believe that Sandusky, or anyone else for that matter, could really be doing such heinous things. My "friend" then said... "well, Paterno ran the program, so it was his responsibility to take the proper actions even if he couldn't believe it". Here in lies the general perception that needs to be overcome."
Ten Th...arbles: "After a similar post yesterday, been kicking this kind of response around for those situations:
"My friend, I am non-violent. And, you have nothing to fear from me. But, the next Penn Stater you say that in front of, knowingly or unknowingly, may not be like me.
So, I recommend that you say nothing more on this topic until you do further research on it to discover what is "clear" and what is unclear. If you wish to discuss this ever again with anybody, you need to do the hard work first."
nittanilyonman1: "Most non-PSU, and people who don't have the interest in researching all the facts, have been given the narrative over the years that Joe was not only the face of the football program, but the entire University. They don't realize the steps that were taken or many of the facts of the case. I believe the general public will not completely forgive, or realize that Joe did what he needed to do, and more..."
Jeanni...hooter: "I would start by asking him to name even 1 victim that was raped at Penn State. That should end the conversation right there."
