I also find it funny in that, isn't the bowl money spread amongst all teams in the Big Ten? After expenses, I mean. Maybe Penn State doesn't get their share for a few years, but does Ohio State get more money than Purdue does, regardless of who goes to the Rose Bowl, or the Outback Bowl, or the Old Rubber Boot Bowl? I thought it was the same.

Of course, I know the benefit of going to the BCS bowl is also in the additional media exposure for recruits, more excitement for the players, more merchanidise sales, and I'm sure I'm missing a billion other things. But as far as what the conference gives to the teams, I thought it was split amongst all teams evenly.

I read an article about a month ago opining that since the players will be getting a slice of the TV money (assuming no surprises in court for them), the impact on big schools like tOSU will be minor, since the TV money is distributed evenly and therefore accounts for a small percent of tOSUs football budget, while the impact on smaller schools will be much greater, since TV revenue is significant for them.
